Very clean and modern, kind and greeting hosts. Excellent breakfast included, with pastries made by the host himself and little treats. Were able to borrow a bike.

Rooms were lovely with a balcony that over looked the pool area.
The hotel was very quiet and relaxing. The beds were very comfortable.
The staff were very helpful and we were able to rent bikes
The spa area with sauna and hammam were great and reasonably priced.
I would definitely use this hotel again.

I would stay here again as the location was great, the pool was lovely and the room was nice. However the staff need to get up to scratch. The reception staff need to speak a little English, the cleaning staff are good at cleaning but I had to ask for toilet paper, shower gel and tea and coffee to be replenished every day. The restaurant was expensive and I couldn't find anything on the menu I liked. I am not fussy and in fact I am a chef - the staff were friendly but the restaurant closed between 4 & 5 so that the staff could have a break - and closed completely on Tuesday - not what I would expect from any hotel. Equally the hotel had no staff on a public holiday! Bizarre

The whole island is a total delight especially towards end of season when slightly quieter and cooler.
Hotel choice (Hotel Le Grand Large) is a real gem with a good resturant and very attentive staff.
Great beaches basically where you are.
2nd time of staying and won't be the last.

We went at a time when Covid numbers were high at home.
We went at a time when Covid numbers were high at home. We found it easy to be careful- we travelled in our own car, left the windows open when we went out and ate outside. We were very happy to be on Ile de Re especially as it had seemed we may not get away. It was charming and the food and weather were very good
- The location close to the centre of Rivedoux-Plage with many dining options, bars, bike rentals, etc. around. The beaches are a leasurely 15 mins walk away.
- Stephanie was a great host, sincerely interested in her guests and supporting whenever needed. Certainly among the best hosts we had so far
- The room was small, still well designed to fit our family of 3 including our stuff for a 4 weeks trip
- great breakfast, Stephanie and Christophe are running a boulangerie foodtruck on weekends, the quality of which you can taste
The rooms were small but fine. Bathrooms had all amenities that had been listed. The AC worked well, which was very important during the heat of the day. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast which was quite extensive each morning of our stay and we dined at the hotel's restaurant one night which was very good.
This was the worst value for money motel we have stayed at. Not only did we pay over the odds for a hotel but also we were faced with a 300 euro deposit for the room after paying for the room in advance. Staff were uninterested
