Hotel was spotlessly clean, well run, organised and lovely. The breakfast was 1st class with excellent choices. We only stayed 1 night but would go back and stay longer . Absolutely recommended.

Location close to the town and beach, Bicycle storage, well equipped kitchen, radiators (we were there in cold, rainy weather) , sky light in the bedroom, terrace and swimming pool area looked great but not the weather to use them during our stay. Pastries left for us by host Laure, and her help in selling our bicycles

Similar to a British seaside town, with the addition of free parking, great food, coffee and roads with no potholes. L’eau a La Bouche was our favourite restaurant, also ate at Le Bugatti, Les Pieds dans le Sable (on the beach) and L’atelier.

Long level sea front with plenty of restaurants. Sandy beach safe for children to play. Not far from La Rochelle if you need a more lively environment. We've visited several times before and it seems to have a warm climate in sheltered bay (unless wind directly from the west) Dogs not allowed on beach during season.

It was beautifully clean; beach, town, park.

It was beautifully clean; beach, town, park. We arrived at the hotel a few minutes before 2pm and were told we were too late for anything to eat but a short walk along the promenade brought us to a restaurant, next door to La Croisette, which had wonderful food and were open all afternoon. I had the best vegan salad I have had after living in France for 5 years. We returned here and found their friendliness and willingness to be flexible (hot choc with my own oat milk) really welcoming. We also found the Creole take away food very good. It is easy to walk from the beach into town and the coop had good fresh fruit and veg and was well stocked. I even found quinoa bread there! There is a delightful little park between town and beach where we had a picnic breakfast and again it was lovely and clean. Obviously, during the pandemic most people were wearing masks and were social distancing. Maybe less people who were in couples walking on the promenade or cycling along the cycle path. In the restaurants people came in wearing masks and disinfectant hand wash was in operation, less obviously in the hotel. We were only there for a couple of days but would go back any time. In fact it was 30C on the beach and this week it is 34C again and I would love to be on the beach!

Old fashioned manners and cleanliness. Old fashioned values and respect. Peace and quiet; all great. No demanding children with monstrous parents giving in to their every whim. A joy for my wife and I.

15 minutes south of La Rochelle by car was an excellent location for us. Resort relatively small (& quiet in late June) with a great beach, plenty of restaurant choices, a super covered market and a few boutique shops.

We have recently returned from a week at this hotel and we had such a lovely time. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, the location was perfect and the food great. We actually ate at the hotel a lot more than we had originally intended to as we liked the restaurant there. The spa facilities were great, we had two kids with us who were happy with the pool and the beach. It was a great spot to explore the local area such as the beaches of Il de Rey and the restaurants and shops of La Rochelle. We would go again.

Excellent chain hotel. Better than we expected. The breakfast was good - continental but enough choice to satisfy most people. The bar area was pleasant although a little short on choice. The best bit was the free entry into the Thalasso pools. Very clean and exhilarating - we used it nearly every day of our stay. Very French clientele and obviously used for business stays and conferences but this had no negeative effect on our holiday stay. Very good experience and certainly value for money.

We had a suite with ocean view, it was spectacular. The cleanliness, the veiw, the space, the aircon, the comfy beds were all top notch. The staff were very professional and helpful. The variety of the food at breakfast was brilliant and the breakfast room itself was beautiful. The hotel is right on the beach. The town itself is beautiful with nice restaurants and a kids funfair (half price Wednesdays).

This was the perfect choice for holidaying with our toddler, as a hotel would have been much more restrictive and inconvenient, whereas here we genuinely felt like home (with the added bonus of having the ocean literally on the doorstep). The location is fabulous, has the charm of a traditional fishing village, and the convenience of a beach holiday resort too. The best of both worlds!

This hotel exceeded my expectations because it was such good value and so well cared for. From the fresh, constantly stocked breakfast to the lovely clean pool and spotless room. It was obvious that it was a family run hotel and they were extremely helpful and pleasant. I only wish that I wasn't staying there for work and could have enjoyed a bit more leisure time.
