We had a lovely stay here in a beautiful room with bright French interiors. The chateau is beautifully decorated and the grounds are nice to stroll around. Everything was comfortable and lovely, except we didn't realise there was no air conditioner and with a baby this was a bit tricky with just one fan for the 3 of us! We should have done better research

A really cute little place that seems to be a converted garage. Owners are friendly and welcoming, and even left fruit for us in the refrigerator. One of our favorites, of the 14 places that we stayed during this trip.

We arrived the property after long raining day driving. James, the owner, prepared dinner for us. It felt like warm welcoming. It was the most memorable stay in the trip.

A lovely property. Would be happy to stay longer. Quiet and peaceful. Very clean and tidy.
Staying in a chateau-hotel like this one has to be experienced at least once in a lifetime. This property looks very much like the chateaux you visit on the Loire Valley and the chateau estate is possibly much better than most of them, with an impressive tomato garden, caves and a very large web of alleys to walk on the estate. The hotel staff is very courteous, they arranged a reservation to dinner for us on the village nearby since we called too late for reserving dinner at the chateau.
James and his wife were fantastic hosts, very helpful in giving my husband and I advice on what to visit in the area and making reservations, and they even dropped us off at dinner one night! Furnishings were to a very high hotel standard, the A/C was a godsend, and the breakfast was delish and inspiring! Homemade yoghurt, homemade jam, croissants from the local boulangerie and freshly squeezed orange juice. We had the best stay!
The hosts were welcoming and gracious.... just the right amount of attentiveness. Even though there are only 5 rooms Clos du Roc feels more like a hotel than a B&B... spacious and quiet. Our room overlooked the Loire River and it was nice to listen to the river at night. The continental breakfast was perfect and the bonus of having a delicious dinner served twice was great.
Immaculately clean everywhere, including the large en suite bathroom, friendly staff, lovely food in restaurant. Easy free parking at rear of hotel. Great location for exploring Loire area, especially for cyclists, as the 'Loire à Vélo' route runs close by and there is a covered area for bikes.
