Walking around the abbey in the evening was really lovely, and is definitely a bonus when staying here. The bed was comfortable too, and the free secure parking was good.

This beautiful property is an oasis of calm and yet is just a short drive to the banks of the Loire and the lovely villages of Montsoreau and Fontvraud. Welcoming and helpful staff. Beautiful and good value onsite restaurant. Spa pool a bonus. Large and quiet rooms, no TV, no Radio, but good enough WiFi for your streaming needs.
Lovely area near the Loire river. Easy reach of Chinon and the impressive town of Saumur. Lots of places to eat and drinks. A staggering amount of chateau to visit including Chateau d'Ussé which was the inspiration for the original Sleeping Beauty story. Lovely area of France. Hope to visit again.
