Houlgate was the nicest discovery in the Normandy region. It's a small town/city that is absolutely beautiful, the beach is huge so its not crowded, one can walk for kilometres. The houses are perfectly restored and preserved as in the old times, because they have been passed from one generation in the family to another....and this for the last 400 years at least. People are VERY friendly, there are nice boutiques, and you find quite a few of top-rated restaurants; and otherwise, nice creperies and simple pizzerias (for all budgets). Houlgate is a must.

A warm welcome and very comfortable bed. Nicole was a great host and made us feel at home. Breakfast in the morning was generous and very good. The premises is right in the village centre near bar restaurants and the beach. Overall, a great place to book if you want to spend a few days in Normandy.
The hotels palcement is perfect, just a few minutes walk from the beach, restaurants , and main turistic points. the staff was lovely and helpful in guiding our weekend activities as well as providing discounts for the local spa
Located close to lovely Houlgate about a mile from town and beach. Good outside space on pleasant quiet estate. Large comfy bed. Easy parking. Friendly owner. Good value for money but would pay more for Wi-Fi and a good shower.
