We loved our stay, from our final pedals which were rewarded with some delicious ice cream to the lovely and warm hospitality at a beautiful and charming chateau. We slept well in a very comfy bed with beautiful views of the river in the morning. The cats were also welcoming and Isabel’s homemade apricot jam at breakfast was delicious. Gennes is situated between Angers and Saumur, which makes it an ideal basis to cycle on the banks of the Loire. Quiet village, most restaurants just at the other side of the river. In the evening, one should cross the bridge on foot. Looking down on the water (in the current) you will see 5 to 10 large catfish! Spectacular.
We like the hotel because it has a character and is more like a home than a hotel. We have been at La Longue Vue few times and never neen disappointed, just very pleased. Thanks for the personal and kind service. Björg and Már
