Manoir du Blois Noblet is – as expected – isolated. That is part of its attraction. It is a beautiful 17th century Manor House that was – at the time of our visit (late August 2023) – undergoing substantial renovation, scheduled to finish at the end of 2023.
The Manor House is elegant and exudes the local history of the Cadre Noir in Saumur. Photographs of horses are everywhere. Our two hosts were supremely attentive and helpful. Our breakfast was more than we could eat. Quite delicious. The eggs were from their own hens.

Gennes is situated between Angers and Saumur, which makes it an ideal basis to cycle on the banks of the Loire. Quiet village, most restaurants just at the other side of the river. In the evening, one should cross the bridge on foot. Looking down on the water (in the current) you will see 5 to 10 large catfish! Spectacular.
We like the hotel because it has a character and is more like a home than a hotel. We have been at La Longue Vue few times and never neen disappointed, just very pleased. Thanks for the personal and kind service. Björg and Már
