The location of this historic hotel is ideal. It faces the Palace of Fontainebleau and we had views of the Palace from our room. Our room has great - large and very comfortable bed and all the facilities that are needed. Viewing the Palace with heads on the pillows was quite special. Breakfast is extra but definitely recommended. Could not fault the breakfast. The sitting room is very tastefully done and a pleasant place to spend some time. The only suggestion here is perhaps to provide the option of a glass of wine to enjoy in this space. The staff were excellent - friendly, helpful and efficient. No restaurant but plenty of options in the town and visitors should certainly walk around the town.

Very conveniently located in the heart of the town near the chateau and park
Lovely little town full of friendly people. The Chateau Fontainebleau was spectacular! My husband and I have toured Versailles twice, but always found it extremely crowded and so difficult to take things in, while being jostled by other guests. Fontainebleau was nothing like that at all. It IS a magnificent chateau, not to be missed in terms of size, architecture and beauty. What is missing is the crowds. Most of the time, we were alone in the rooms (save a few security guards). It made it so much more pleasant to be able to actually take our time and really look at things rather than being constantly jostled along by the crowds of tourists. If you are anywhere nearby, definitely take the time to see it.

Fontainebleau is easily the rival of Versailles, and the bonus is there are far less people squeezing around. The gardens are perfect for a stroll around the water features, people picnicking on the grass and exploring hidden gems within them. The Palace was amazing, without the gold bling of some but with vastly richer history and ornate features easily a match for anything.
The town clearly has a multitude of dining options, we got Italian from Pizza Mimi which was wonderful, and we found a quaint little church and some unique little shops in the short time after the Palace closed.
Skip the day-trip do yourself a favour and stay longer to properly explore everything this beautiful part of France just out of Paris has to offer.

We had a family break celebrating my 60th birthday on Easter Sunday and we met up with family who live nearby. There is plenary to do for the Easter break in the hotel. They provide everything you need and more. Lovely feel staff friendly. We didn’t eat food as we did our own celebrations but it looked lovely and well laid out. I would happily stay here again.

We took the tourist train thru the gardens to get our orientation, then did our own walk. Even in October it was a great walk.
Did a self guided tour of the chateau with an audio guide - much better with the guide than it would have been without. Some amazing history explained!
The shops, restaurants & the walk ability were all great.

The chateau is enormous with some of the best rooms I have ever seen. Lots of history particularly about Napoleon with many of his personal items. Extensive gardens to explore.
The town has numerous shops and restaurants.

My visit to Fontainebleau was to watch the Ladies Real Tennis World Championships in the Chateau. Great event , hotel was close by . The staff in the restaurants visited were all great , despite a busy Easter week with great weather and lots of tourists . Dined at both lower price and higher price restaurants .
Apartment was quite close to campus and to the center of Fontainebleau. Supermarket and good restaurants two blocks away. Everything in the apartment worked as expected with plenty of room for one or even two persons. The bed is comfortable enough. Best thing about my stay was how attentive Abdel, the person in charge of coordinating the keys, was. He got out of his way to help me with anything. Definitely will be my first option to stay for studying purposes.
The hotel seemed understaffed and the front desk was constantly busy. The price was not exactly low so, given the very basic room (small, no hand towels, outdated bathroom, hard bed), and having to pay extra for parking and breakfast, it was not very good value at all. No restaurant, but walking distance to good restaurants. Still, the staff was friendly and nice, and tried their best -- they are not to blame.
Really nice breakfast, and the breakfast room was big, light and relaxing to sit in. Staff was really polite and helpful, and the hotel is located very close to the centre of Fontainebleau, only a short walk to the castle and to the shops. We also didn't experience any noise disturbance, so we slept well and the beds were very comfortable.
A beautiful central hotel. Very easy to find.
Parking facilities right across the road for 10 euros/ 24 hours. The chateau and park is directly in front of the hotel. The two ladies on reception were so kind, friendly and welcoming. They went out of their way to help us. We had a beautiful stay. Fountainebleau was just wonderful.
Staff and owner would offer to help with anything! So helpful! Beautiful small hotel steps from the famous Chateau and from a dozen or more cafes and restaurants. Spotless inside, relaxing center courtyard. Start you trip to Burgundy wine country by heading out of Paris or CDG and go here first.
What a great hotel. The receptionist was so lovely and friendly. The spa was a real added bonus and it was fabulous. The room was quaint and perfect. Looking out onto a courtyard. I was travelling with a small and it was just perfect. Its situated in a great spot for Fontainebleu
Beautiful hotel, beautiful room, accessible and free parking, very helpful staff, fast check-in and check-out. Comfortable room and bathroom, very clean. Quality of the information given by the staff, coffee and tea in the room
I Chose it because of its fabulous location right opposite Fontainebleau château. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming and the accommodation was beautiful. Breakfast was excellent and our view was of the chateau.
The hotel is conveniently located between and close to both the town centre and INSEAD Business School. The breakfast is good and the hotel staff and helpful and friendly.
Cozy place in a great location of Fontainebleau. Martine was very nice and welcoming. I loved the little tea and coffee corner. Really can't complain for the price!
The staff was very helpful, the garden was lovely anda delightful surprise, as was the shorter than expected distance to restaurants and Chateau Fontainebleau.
