We received a very warm welcome and were provided with very helpful advice about the town when we arrived . The hotel is in a great location in the town .Our room which was the family one was a good size and very clean .

We loved everything about our stay here. The hosts were so friendly and helpful. Our room was fantastic - large and very comfortable.The swimming pool was very welcome after a long cycle ride and the secure bike storage was great. The breakfast choice was also wonderful: fresh croissants, apple tart, cheese meats, yogurts...I could go on!
The location is very peaceful despite only being a short walk to the centre of Blaye and the citadel. We really hope to be back as soon as we can.

The owner was very helpful and I was able to have a bath! A small quirky apartment, up 2 narrow flights of stairs. Fully equipped functional kitchen, dining table and chairs and separate toilet.

Citadell is worth to visit and is the main attraction.
Citadell is worth to visit and is the main attraction. Definitely visit Le Petite Cave wine shop and cafe and the art gallery! Otherwise, small towns around, each with a nice touch. Blaye itself is in some parts somewhat abandoned. Main street is lively but other streets empty and kind of sad empty houses. A few nice restaurants, would suggest one’s in citadell for a more quiet atmosphere.
The apartment is spacious and beautifully decorated and furnished. It is well equipped for a self catering holiday

It is very close to the car ferry across the Gironde estuary to the Medoc vineyards.
There is parking next to the hotel if arranged in advance (one space) and additional parking is available nearby.
Everything! Such a wonderful host and place, so much style ☺️ Breakfast is a delight …home made jams, freshly made orange juice to mention a few treats in store for you. Blaye is a lovely town to explore with plenty of evening meal options
