The room and bathroom turned out to be very large. The bathroom had a shower, a corner bathtub and a bidet, so hygienic comfort on hot days was ensured for each of us at the same time. The room was divided into two spheres separated by sliding glass doors (opaque glass). The first part of the room is a living room with armchairs and a table, a work desk, TV and a mini bar. The second part of the room is a KING SIZE double bed, which, for example, parents with two children can sleep comfortably on. All rooms were meticulously clean! Breakfast included a huge number of varied dishes, including lactose-free and vegan products. There is even a machine that bakes pancakes and an autonomous trolley for dishes that drives between tables. The windows of the dining room are directly above the market square and in front of the Bartholomew's Church. A beautiful view of the entire market square is worth seeing, not only while having breakfast. In addition, the hotel has a rooftop restaurant on the top floor. There is also delicious food, perfect service and impeccable cleanliness.

Good location, short walk to the city centre, good parking options in the streets right next to the hotel. Lounge area on our floor with free snacks and view of the brewery. Two free cans of Kozel in the room. Good breakfast selection. Loved the smell of the brewery when stepping out of the hotel.

Generally, hotel is located in good place. Good breakfast and room. But there is one big issue- bathroom without active ventilation, so all smells go to the room ( and window does not help). So if you have poopy stuff all smells will be in bedroom. When I settled down I felt that room with a bad smell .

The Roudna hotel is situated in one of the oldest and most quiet quarters of Plzeň, 5 to 10 minute's walk from the very centre, and offers nice rooms and great food at reasonable prices.
Plzen is a very calm and quiet place. I did not see many people on the streets which surprised me. You feel safe there. Nice, clean streets, beautiful façade buildings, polite waiters - a pleasant place to spend your time. The public transport is very punctual and you can buy your tickets inside from a machine by card- simple and easy.

If you're a beer enthusiast, you would definitely Plzeň. The famous Pilsner Urquell brewery is an ideal destination for beer lovers.
The restaurants offer great local cuisine and an impressive selection of beers.
But what really makes this place stand out is the friendly people. They are knowledgeable about the local area and can recommend places to visit and things to do.
Overall Plzeň is a great place to stay. It offers a unique experience for beer lovers and has a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

I would say 2 days and 2 nights is enough to go around the city and visit the main attractions, you can literally walk everywhere. If you don't speak czech, at least half the places have english speaking staff. Try to avoid the fancy restaurants in the city centre and go try some local food outside the touristy areas, have your translator in hand and order your food just pointing at the menu, staff will be very undestanding (always carry some cash as card payments are not available everywhere)

An absolutely gorgeous town with lots of history.
An absolutely gorgeous town with lots of history. It's nice to walk around, admiring the colourful buildings, but the Adolf Loos apartment tours are really worth it for anyone interested in architecture.
Very easy to get around, the trams are really cheap as well.
The Le Frenchie cafe on the main square serves obscenely nice cakes but there are many other places serving many different cuisines.
Also, worth trekking out of town to visit the Bohemia Sekt brewery where you can go on a tour and wine taste.

Plzeň is not the first choice of many going to Czechia.
Plzeň is not the first choice of many going to Czechia. However its a lovely town, easily walked.
Most of the stuff is around the town square with the magnificent St Bartholomews church.
Plenty of good cafes and restaurants abound - but some are small and hidden away so go looking!
Its a fun, interesting town for a few days - and do not miss the Pilsen Brewery Tour which is well worth a visit!

Plzen is quiet and a pleasant town.
Plzen is quiet and a pleasant town. You can easily walk around and the train station is easily accessible. There are not a lot of taxis, but there is access to BOLT & UBER. We used BOLT successfully a couple of times. The town center has a nice church, shops, where you can buy food or Bohemian crystal etc., a library and cafes. The tour of the Pilsen 1842 beer factory is a must. It's fun and lasts 2 to 3 hours. A generous free sample at the end of the tour in the underground cellars. We stayed just just across the river, so we could walk to shops and the train station.
The hotel is very well located, within walking distance from the Pilsen Urquell factory, the restaurant is one of the best we’ve been to and the prices are very reasonable. The room is well-decorated and sparkling clean. The highlight of our stay were the people who work there. They exceeded our expectations in every count. We’ve been lots of places in Brasil, North-America, The Caribbean, and Europe and the only place we got a similar service was in another family owned hotel: Villas el Encanto in Cozumel.
Best hotel in Plzen. The room was very well equipped and location central. Everyone at the reception was very helpful but special mention goes to Nathalie for fixing my transport to the event the whole weekend and back to Prague. Also, if you are lucky to experience the breakfast in the morning, Akhi will ensure to meet your needs with the food and coffee. His dedication to each of the guests makes the whole experience a 5 stars. I will definitely come back next time in Plzen
Recently stayed in Plzen as part of a Beer Holiday of the Czech Republic. This place is naturally perfect as it’s part of one of the best Craft Beer bars in the city. Not only that, it is located really close to the main Railway Station and equally as close to Pilsner Urquell should you be taking the Brewery Tour (we did). Great room, en-suite, clean and spacious - a bit more higher end compared to some Pensions and worth every Koruna!
Clean and quiet room, good closet space with plenty of clothes hangers, nice shower with plenty of hot water, substantial breakfast offerings, has a lift, local bus stops right outside the hotel for transfer to a nearby tram for a quick ride to the center (or the tram stop is a very short walk from the hotel). Staff is friendly and in particular, Marketa and Tereza at the front desk were very welcoming and super helpful.
+ Good breakfast with better selection than most hotels in Czech Republic (I especially liked the special warm options like grilled vegetables, mushrooms, etc.)
+ Friendly staff at check-in
+ Mostly clean
+ WiFi was working reliably
+ Free access to a partner gym in the next building with a good selection of machines for a workout
+ Big and well-lit outdoor parking space at no extra charge
Great pension/hotel very near the city center (10 minutes walking), all important sites, and also within walking distance of the train station. The room was very clean, the shower was hot and the breakfast was great! The dinner was absolutely amazing, I think it was the largest steak I've ever seen! What we couldn't eat the owners used to pack us sandwiches for our train journey! :-)
Newly refurbished accommodation in an excellent location - central but very quiet at the same time. The room was spacious and well equipped with everything one might need, including a great shower and a comfortable bed. Easy and straightforward check-in directions and friendly, accommodating staff make this an excellent choice for your stay in Plzen.
I had never stayed in this part of Pilsen before, but I would do so again. The price for a stay with breakfast was unbeatable and the room I had was big enough for me, it was quiet (I slept really well) and the people working there that I met at breakfast this morning was very friendly and didn't laugh too much at my attempts to speak Czech.
The hotel was located in very close distance to Pilsner Urquell, say less than 5 min walking distance. The room was clean and the staff were kind. I would recommend this hotel who will visit Plzen to experience more than 100 years’ premium beer. I took the English tour for 80 min and it was worth every penny. two thumbs up!
Resturant, very good, and good service. I have been 5 times over years at hotel Victoria, and have no problems to stay at hotel in future. It is old building and 10 minuts walk to Plzen sentrum, but it is a good place to stay.
Very varity and good breakfast. Also secure parking if you have car.
The owner and staff were excellent. Great breakfast on the old town wall terrace overlooking a lovely park was fantastic. The room and the building throughout show parts of the original medieval walls that add to the character of the hotel.
Highly recommend this hotel.
The central location is great for a city trip or a short stayover, with fairly priced parking available right in front of the hotel.
The beds are comfortable and large.
Breakfast was good enough to get the day started.
Very professional and friendly staff!
We had a spacious room that was more than comfortable and suited our needs well. The hotel’s dining room offers very good meals that are served by waiters who are both professional and kind. The breakfast in the morning was both plentiful and delicious.
The hotel is a bit dated, but I still think this is good place to stay as it has easy-access parking, close to bars / restaurants, plentiful buffet breakfast, and wonderful staff.
Old fashioned hotel in good shape. Huge north facing windows in an non-air-conditioned room and the only floor fan I saw in 18 days in Europe. Comfortable stay in downtown Pilsen.
- Location in the downtown.
- Room windows to main sq. is the best view in Pilsen, no doubts.
- Breakfast fulfilled expectation and kind staff in the hotel restaurant.
