The hotel was ideally located in the main square in Cesky Krumlov. The staff were very pleasant and there were plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. Our room was on the third floor which was the top floor and there were quite a number of stairs to walk up as there were no lifts. Although we could manage these stairs, some people might find them more difficult and if you feel this might be a problem, it might be advisable to see if you can arrange a room on a lower floor. The staff did however offer to carry any luggage up to the rooms.

The Ultimate Bohemian Rhapsody
The charm of this enchanting fairy tale city in the Czech Republic is best experienced during winter when snow covers magical Český Krumlov Castle. Lying along the banks of the Vltava River, the historic old town comes alive during summer when cafes and restaurants overflow with the influx of tourists.
The castle makes an imposing backdrop against narrow cobblestone streets and a mixture of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architecture in its old buildings. Choose an art gallery, museum or theatre like the 17th-century
Castle Baroque Theatre, located inside the castle’s beautiful gardens.
Walking around Český Krumlov’s historic streets is a journey back in time, and the best way to soak up its Bohemian atmosphere. Your walk can be easily interrupted at one of the many cafés, restaurants and bars serving local dishes and drinks.

I loved its architectural features and its wealth of museums. The meanders of the river give it a special charm. The central square(on which the hotel is located) is full of charm and a place of interesting activity.

Picturesque place,.it is a.must to.visit it, it is maybe my fifth time I come as it is a unique.place.
There are many places.to.go.for a walk, you only need to.go.and discover them!
There is an area with supermarkets out of.town but yoi.can go there on foot. However, If you don't have time for that walk, you will find some potraviny shops in town which are open till.late.
It is better to.go.in.summer because everytjing is open all day and you can explore.the place.in the day light.
You will feel you are in a fairy tale

I hope I never have to see Český Krumlov again.
I hope I never have to see Český Krumlov again. If so, I'll stay in a campsite (though the penzion wasn't the problem); much better to visit on a canoe trip. Hideously high prices and and as few locals as in Venice. Gigabites of fake Instagram grins and very little of real interest. The Art Centre was a disappointment with few originals from Egon Schiele but the food: I have never seen so much profiteering with so little by way of quality or service culture. The travel hostel was the exception, though I hesitate to write this down unless it sees fit to gouge prices.
I liked the river and some of the walks. And it irritated me less on a Wednesday when many tourists had left.

In this period of the year the little town is very calmy and silent. Only bad experience that most of the sights and the museum were closed at this time. There not so much to do, I found it very bad from tourist side. Xmas decorations are only now to come, however in the neighborhood in Budovice the main square was full with decoration and Xmas fair. Lot of bars was closed, there was not so much to do there at this time. Thus this the city is wonderful, the castle area geourgeos, but we loved to check the old theatre or the tower.

What a wonderful experience to visit and stay in this charming village. To think just a few months earlier we never even heard of this gem. Such a beautiful place. Visiting in mid-October was perfect after learning that the warmer months get so crowded. We never had an issue with crowds, and oftentimes found ourselves alone, even on the castle grounds. So many great restaurants and shops to patronize and the people so friendly. St. Vitus Church is definitely worth visiting, as well as the synagogue, and of course the castle and grounds. Meander down the small alleys and bridges for beautiful views wherever you look.

Nice place for a couple days off.
Nice place for a couple days off.
Busy with tourists during the day but quiet from the evening.
Prices are cheap but quality is very good.
A nice place to walk around, many small streets, many nice views.
Overall a good place for a stress-free weekend.
The hotel is located under the Stone Bridge that enters the peninsula of Český Krumlov historical center. It looks attractive as you approach it. The reception service was nice and we got free welcome drink. We chose a room with river view and it was great to see the castle and the river outside. The room is good, even if with some non-obvious and non-impactful wear and tear. From the hotel it is extremely easy to enjoy the area. The breakfast was ok. Good experience.
First of all, it's my second time I'm staying in this hotel. Moreover, both times I've stayed in Cesky Krumlov - both time I've stayed in this hotel. Location - well, you CAN'T find a better location - it's the best. Stuff - super helpful and amazing. Rooms - perfect. I've stayed in the 3rd floor and under the roof - both locations have it's own charm. Valet parking - super helpful, considering location of this hotel. Breakfast - great! Anyway, top-notch!
Everything! Communication with Hana was great. She is a very attentive hostess. The apartment was perfect for our family of four. It is as beautiful as in the pictures. Beds were very comfortable, and we had everything we needed. The apartment is also in a great location. It is on a quiet street just a few minutes from the Castle. We walked every where. We will sure go back to Hana's place when we return to Cesky Krumlov.
We did not expect such a spacious room. Previous reviewer online mentioned that the room was on the ground floor, which provides much more comfort in Summer, in addition to easier access (although there are steps outside the front door). Other hotels/B&B's cannot guarantee such a room, let alone provide one. Note: not wheelchair accessible, but the cobblestone streets aren't either. Helpful and accommodating owner!
The location is amazing, directly in the center of Cesky Krumlov. It is like 7 minutes walk from the P3, where we parked. The hotel will come and pick you up from P3, if you come with the car and charge the parking fee to the room. The hotel owner is very friendly. In the hotel there’s a public area, where there’s water, instant coffee, tea and some fruits for free. The room is clean, nicely decorated, very cozy.
We’ve dreamt about visiting Cesky Krumlov for a very long time now and our dream has finally become true. Arcadie Hotel was a perfect choice for the weekend. The hotel is located in the center, the view from the window is stunning as you can see the castle from it. Breakfasts are very generous and the service is super nice and helpful. We recommend staying at Arcadie hotel and we will definitely come
back.
We had such a comfortable & relaxing stay! Tom was extremely nice & helpful, he even gave us dinner recommendations upon arrival in the evening. The cost was super affordable & the free parking included was a definite bonus.
Everything to do & see is within 5-10 minutes of walking distance. I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a place to stay in Cesky Krumlov.
This lovely hotel was literally a 5-minute walk to the historic center. Parking at the villa is complimentary for guests. Breakfast was outstanding. A menu is provided with about a dozen gourmet options - delicious! We were on the top floor in a deluxe room with castle view. Highly recommended! The owners take a special interest in giving their guests a wonderful experience.
the proximity of the hotel to the castle, just right below the castle across the bridge, and 2 minutes walk to the old town square. My room has a beautiful view of the river and sunrise; very spacious and it has an old charm to it and big windows. the hotel has restaurant by the reception, outdoor setting and beautiful view of the castle. and the food is delicious!
George @ reception was cool and advised us on places to go etc and Paul in Hotel restaurant was so helpful and friendly as well.
The hotel is awesome, next to the river, plenty of space and is right in the heart of the unbeliveable town of Cesky Krumlov. I would recommend 2 days to enjoy the cobble stone adventure
We had room number 1, which is comfotable, despite being on the small side. Sitting on the balcony overlooking Moldau and facing the Český Krumlov Castle, sipping to a glass of czech rose wine is an unforgettable experience. The owner served early breakfast for us, since we had to leave early. Highly recommended!
Small hotel right on the outskirt of Cesky Krumlov. Excellent value, and just a short picturesque stroll to the town centre and less than 5 minutes to the castle.
Clean and simple room, with good modern facilities. We went in winter and it was quiet and peaceful.
This was the best place we have used. The only regret was it was only for one night. The apartment was clean comfortable and nicely appointed. The cast view enhanced the overall feeling of the place. Our second visit to Cesky Krumlov was the best.
HostelSkippy is a very friendly hostel, we were met by an extremely kind staff and the room was just beautiful! We had a view directly at the river and we couldn't have asked for a better stay at Cesky Krumlov! Thank you.
We liked the room set up cute/quaint. Not far off the beaten path of shopping and food of Cesky Krumlov, location wise. He did respond to our calls for help getting us into our room and asking for towels etc.
The hotel exceeded my expectations! Very cozy, nice tub, comfortable room, helpful and friendly staff as well as amazing breakfast. Definately the place to stay when visiting Cesky Krumlov.
Staff is very helpful. Location is great . Near Spicak bus stop and the castle compound . The staff gave us great information about the bus the shuttle and area around Cesky Krumlov.
