The hotel is very well presented and clean. Underground parking was easy to use. The staff are pleasant, very helpful and faultlessly well mannered. English is spoken by almost all staff.
The restaurant is fantastic - we had fish and Turkish lamb - the presentation of the food and the quality took me (pleasantly) by surprise.

Great place, spacious, very welcoming host and games for the children such as ping pong table and table football. We enjoyed the large communal area that we could use and also the well equipped kitchen.
We will definitely come back.

We were stunned & delighted with the extensive Roman excavations & displays of artifacts in the museum. Also delighted with the Rodin/ Giacometti / classic car exhibition. Again delighted with the Da Vinci display which was as good as that in the Washington Smithsonian!

Well , how to explain the beauty !!!
Well , how to explain the beauty !!!
All around are the stunning mountains!
The streets are so clean , a marvellous array of shops, parks , things to do , one could easily spend a week in Martigny.
At this price, the Hotel de la Poste is very good option. It is conveniently located close to the train station. The hotel decor is a bit dated, but because this is Switzerland, the room was spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and efficient, the elevator was helpful, the mattress was comfortable, the water pressure in the shower was good, and the breakfast buffet was convenient when you're in a hurry to catch a train.
The Hotel du Stand is a 15 minute walk up the main street from the main train station Martigney but a shorter 6 minute walk if you catch the train onward to Martigney Bourg. The hotel has a small elevator making easy to get up to the other floors
We were able to get a pot / carafe of hot water from the cafe for our evening tea and morning coffee at no cost.
i love the view when i wake up! the garden in front is so beautiful... thick snow!
Kitchen appliances are so fully equipped.
I love everything about this hotel! room is so warm and perfect! thanks for the nice coffee packets.
even though i didn't meet the host, i communicate with him through whatsapp. he is very helpful and friendly.
Everything was great - room was very nice and clean, awesome bathroom with walk in shower, comfy bed, very nice view from the window. Breakfast had a lot of options with selection also of warm dishes. Hotel is only a short walk from the train station. Bike parking is spacious and safe - accessible with the room key card.
We were there before 1pm, and the staff was very nice and letting us check in. Convenient parking lot at the back of building, sufficient space and facilities. The heating was very warm. There is plug adapter to European standard plug, which we had to buy one when I stayed at another hotel before this one.
The hotel reminded me of US hotels built in 60's or 70's, with big rooms and a big parking lot. It is not in the center of town so we used taxis when first arriving by train and thereafter frequent local bus 201. We could walk easily to the Old Town section, though, where we had dinner twice.
As vegans we are always weary when we stay at a small place (or even bigger hotel) about our breakfast choices. The host at the Villa was great and went out of his way to ensure we had an amazing experience with our breakfast. We are very thankful for his throughtfulness.
Very comfortable rooms and beds, pleasant and accomodating staff. The bathroom was very nice with a lot of water in the shower. The breakfast was good, bit pricy though but normal for the quality and choice of food. It's one of the best 4-star hotels I stayed at.
The food, both breakfast and dinner, was superb. The coffee was excellent and the staff super helpful.
Excellent location for walking down to bars and restaurants and nice cobbled streets.
We used the hotel as a base for hiking nearby.
Fantastic hotel: clean, efficient, nice views from the hotel. More importanly, it's a hotel with a mission that I think is important to support. The breakfast is very good and I had the best scrambled eggs of my life!
After missing my train, I found Hôtel de la Poste. The staff was very welcoming and gave me tips on where to eat that evening. The rooms were cozy and comfortable.
