The staff at Prospect House are exceptional. The dining experience, including breakfast was outstanding. We were made to feel at home and encouraged to use the various rooms. Sharing breakfast at the big family kitchen table in the country kitchen was delightful. Thank you

A great stay for our family with young kids. Colin and Jeanette were lovely and showed my kids around the property, visiting the horses, feeding the dogs and cats and riding on the quad bike, my kids were free to do what they liked and they loved it. The price was reasonable and the beds were comfortable. This is not a 5 star stay, the place is a bit dated but it’s in a handy location, close to Richmond and has lovely views across the farming fields below.

The cottage and the view were absolutely stunning. The fact that wild roaming chicken and sheep with lambs were all around us was fantastic for the kids.
The location was perfect for what we were after over the weekend.
We were welcomed with a text and a clear description of check in. Wendy was very helpful and friendly over the phone.

The intact historic buildings provide the visitor with a view of the past and certainly the Richmond Bridge is an incredible example of early architecture. This is so complementary to the rest of the town.

With only 1 day, impossible to see everything, but a stroll around the town and you see the most interesting buildings and homes, dating back to the mid 1800's and early 1900,s ,there are many antique shops filled with interesting artifacts, several excellent places to eat, and a very interesting miniature display village of Hobart in the early days of settlement and growth. The bridge built over the Coal River is a perfect example of the amazing hard work early convicts endured, and it is supposed too be the oldest in Australia, built 1823-25.

Just an amazing little town with what felt like lots of cool history. The people and little stores around us were all really friendly and awesome. Highly recommend Richmond Bakery for some famous scallop pies and also the whisky tasting room located in that same area.

Park the car and go. So many options in walking distance.
Park the car and go. So many options in walking distance. Historic bridge and gaol, plus endless shops antiques, gift and art. Choices in food enjoying fresh cake and coffee at the bakery and later lunch at the pub. A unique attraction was the Puseum, learning and laughing about poo. good for young and old.

Richmond is a beautiful part of Tasmania.
Richmond is a beautiful part of Tasmania. A gorgeous sandstone convict built bridge, colonial buildings, the old Richmond Historic Gaol, the Rivers Arm Hotel. The walk along the river is lovely and lots of happy ducks. Crafty shops. Well worth a visit. Wish I had stayed longer.

This is our 2nd stay at Bridgecroft Villa and it won’t be our last. It is located less than 5min by car from Richmond Town centre so you can certainly walk there (which after eating an amazing vanilla slice from the bakery a walk is a must). The bed is comfortable with crisp white sheets and an electric blanket for the cold nights. All fittings and utensils are top notch, nothing has been spared in making this a place you would want to return to. We had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Highly recommended.
We LOVED everything about The Mill House. Susan and Rob have thoughts of everything that you could need for a perfect stay. The grounds are quite beautiful and the house is a very easy walk to the hotel for dinner…. and all the interesting little shops in Richmond.
What a great find in the middle of historic Richmond. Clean ,comfortable and well appointed, with nice private rear courtyard at rear of room. Whats more it was exceptional value
