Location was awesome. Walking distance to the centre of town. Easy to find, plenty of parks. Nice continental breakfast, but would have preferred a cooked breakfast and thought the price to upgrade to a cooked meal was a bit much. Reception guy was lovely and gave us some great places to visit on our way to Hobart.

I loved the ease of getting around, the heritage buildings everywhere, the clock tower which still chimes and the layout of the city centre which was easy to walk around. I didn't appreciate the boy racers that were hooning around the city streets late on Friday night polluting the air with noise.

The info centre was great and gave us information re the self guided walking tours, the free bus and places of interest. We had no idea of what Cataract Gorge was about but what a treasure, especially in the middle of the city. Had a lovely time here, found great coffee and shops.
A man at the petrol station told us to go and see the monkeys in City Park. We went there however it was a very sad sight seeing the monkeys in that awful cage and environment. Come on Launceston, catch up with the rest of the world and give these monkeys a decent home. The rest of the park was lovely

Great eateries and wine bars. Friendly staff.
Great eateries and wine bars. Friendly staff. One of our group is very allergic to garlic - this was not a problem to anyone - in fact they were much more amenable to dietary restrictions than mainland AU.

I feel Launceston is treated like the poor sister to Hobert but it is every bit as spectacular. The council’s efforts to keep and enhance the heritage buildings ( Peppers Silo Hotel as an example), the stunning cataract gorge with its walking tracks, beautiful safe gardens and reserves.

We had a fantastic experience during our stay at this hotel in Launceston. The prime location, just a short stroll away from the city centre, cafe's and restaurants, made exploring and enjoying the local attractions incredibly convenient. The staff at the hotel were not only welcoming but also highly professional, catering to our needs with a genuine warmth that added a personal touch to our stay. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Launceston.
A true find. This hotel is beautiful. Huge rooms, beautiful ensuite. Excellent value for money for the rooms and also the mini bar. We never usually buy from the mini bar but we certainly did on this occasion as it was such good value for money. Glorious history. Walking distance to CBD, the port, cafes etc. beautiful views overlooking Launceston. Sparkling clean. Staff lovely. Beautiful artwork. A true gem. Would highly recommend and stay there again.
WOWWWW..this was like combination of old heritage homes in Indian village plus Hogwarts in Harry Potter!! Bonus was a windmill in the campus. Excellent rooms, super comfy. Amazing big bathrooms. Ever helpful staff..they guided us so well. hardly 5 block walkable to the downtown Launceston . Hotel is very close to Cataract Gorge "Estuary" which you can walk .
Launceston is a quiet little town and this hotel is set at a quiet corner yet very accessible. The room was large for the two of us. We could not park at the carpark for our first night as it seems there was an event that day. We managed to park at the hotel for the 2nd night and the parking fee was cheap.
