Happy Wanderer Motel Bendigo CHILDREN NOT PERMITTED over 18s only is located in Bendigo. 2 km from Ulumbarra Theatre, the property is also 2.4 km away from Rosalind Park.

The room was cheap. It served its purpose for the one night we stayed in Bendigo. It was clean and tidy although quite dated. The beds were super comfy. The staff were excellent.

Cleanliness is of utmost importance, this motel was not clean, plenty of aerosol spray had been used, but in close look, not clean. Clean towels would have been appreciated as wet dirty onles not acceptable, especially when they are partly worn out.

I have been before - ideal distance from Melbourne for a day trip or a short break. I enjoy the beautiful old buildings and parklands in the city centre, and the fact that Bendigo is a junction for roads to many other destinations. I will be back!

I would look for somewhere else to stay other than Mecure.

I would look for somewhere else to stay other than Mecure. sugest all seasons in stead. A Credit Card Deposit demanded on the room was unjustified as room had been paid in full in advance. We do not live in a cashless society and nor should we their policy and procedures need to change, this is Australia not France. I was forced to pay up $ 100 cash deposit on late check in and went hungry all night as had no other money to purchase food after traveling for work all day.

Beautiful, picturesque, country town with a great shopping precinct. The Cathedral, Fountain and Rosalind Park are all standouts to visit. There are also great restaurants and entertainment happening with special events on regularly.

Exhibition at Art Gallery - Impressions of Life Paris 1880-...

Exhibition at Art Gallery - Impressions of Life Paris 1880-1925 - excellent. Also impressed with visit to the Great Stupa near Eaglehawk. On previous visits we have enjoyed the tram trip and excellent tulip displays at tulip time. Bendigo is an all-round interesting city.

Bendigo is a large town and has many suburbs. Eaglehawk (where we stayed) is a smaller area within Bendigo. Not too much going on apart from having a couple of birds of prey in the name. Still pretty sweet.

Less than a 5 minute walk from the main strip and gallery, it was the perfect location to stay for the Elvis exhibition over the weekend. House was immaculate, modern renovations, heating perfect, comfortable beds and good quality bedlinen. With coffee machine and pods, teabags, cereal packs and milk all included, we wanted for nothing. Only a short walk to a host of fantastic restaurants, shops and cafes, we never even needed our car. Lovely and quiet location, yet just a stone's throw from Bendigo's hub. Would absolutely recommend.

The staff from the moment we walked into the office and the moment we left we were made to feel so welcome and accommodated. I was there to work so I knew I wouldn’t need much time in a hotel and chose this one because of how cheap it was to start and now I will continue to go back because of how clean, comfortable and friendly the place was. Thank you so much for having us and being so kind.

Convenient location, clean, great hotel across the street for meals and plenty of off street parking. My room was set up as semi self contained providing toaster, microwave, plates and cutlery. Triple glazed windows blocked busy road noise. The onsite Manager Mark is such an asset, very polite and a wealth of knowledge regarding local history and attractions. Would definitely recommend.

Described as “Maisonette Suites” there are six of these fairly small rooms in the centre of Bendigo Ideally situated for great exploration of the city. Although small they have all that is need for one or two people. The bathroom in our room was very small and made having a shower an exciting prospect, but it works. Reasonably priced for its location it is recommended.

We were a little bit hesitant after reading reviews, but our fears were allviated once we checked in . The hotel is centrally located , and the rooms were clean ,tidy n comfortable . Noise wasn't as bad as expected, very peaceful sleep considering the number of events going on within the hotel . Will definitely stay with Crown Motel Bendigo again

We travel often to Bendigo Hospital because of my husband. Here we found good, friendly staff. The room is comfortable, with private bathroom. The beds are comfortable, with clean duvets and an electric blanket. We could make coffee with whole milk. Our stay was pleasant and the location of our hotel was convenient for our work.

What a lovely old hotel! We stayed here after staying in new apartments in Melbourne and it was so nice to be in an old fashioned hotel. Stunning building with really beautiful stained glass everywhere. Meals were also superb in the pub downstairs. Can't wait to stay again.

The property is located just outside of the bush centre and on a service road and is therefore much quieter than comparable motels in Bendigo. I regularly stay here for this reason and because the beds are very comfortable too, and the rooms are clean and dark.
