Beautiful heritage real estate, a lovely Central Park and Mount panorama. Shopping opportunities are limited as are eateries after 5 pm. Easy to walk around and park - lovely wide streets built for horse and carriages. A lovely regional art gallery and Doppio Bathurst is a great spot to grab a coffee on route from the train station to town. Al Denté is a great cafe in town for wholesome options for breakfast and lunch - opens very early and you can read the local rag.

I was at Bathurst for work.
I was at Bathurst for work. The view I had from my hotel room was the famous Bathurst racing track. which was lovely to look out on too.
I didn't get much time to explore and would like to visit again so I can take in more of the charming old town. People were very friendly, and everything was pretty close by, I ate at the George Pub as the food was so lovely, and The Ridges wasn't serving dinner on the Sunday and Monday nights I was staying.
I would definitely recommend a visit to Bathurst, and I will also visit again and hopefully will get to stay longer.

Have passed through Bathurst many times and this was the first time we stayed.
Has awesome parks and walking tracks. Felt very safe walking around town late on a Friday night. Lots of old buildings with excellent descriptions of their history.
Ice-cream shop was packed and doing a roaring trade. Yummo.
Found a coffee shop open at 6am on a Saturday morning and coffee was sensational.
Driving the track is always a highlight as well.
Next time will be staying several days.

Lots to see and do. Just being there was nice.
Lots to see and do. Just being there was nice. The Motor Museum, the race track obviously but just the lovely streets and beautiful old buildings. Abercrombie house was a highlight too.
The only thing was the huge central park was closed due to the 'possibility' of falling branches from bats. It was over kill. Nanny state philosophy. Very disappointing by local council.
Otherwise would have loved to stay longer than 3 days.
Heater and lights on for our arrival, very welcoming. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen and milk, butter and teas for our use. The building is full of interest, and it was a pleasure to stay there. We enjoyed Bathurst very much. Older buildings were well maintained and parkland and tree lined streets were very pleasant to walk around.. We had lunch at The Hub both days, it was excellent. Our apartment was quiet, which is important for us both for a good night's sleep.
The room was quite large. It was a studio apartment with a kitchen, separate bathroom (excellent shower & spa bath) that did not fog up and a comfortable king size bed. Fantastic view of the Chase on Mt Panaorama circuit and a balcony. Good on-site parking. Only a short drive into the Bathurst CBD and great access to the track. Great value for size of the accommodation. Air Con worked well keeping us warm during a very cold snap - see photo of hotel with snow clouds.
Basic option which is fine for an overnight pit stop. Overall, the place is showing its age a bit and could do with a refresh. The massive advantage this hotel has is the location - located on the main highway, it's of course very easy to make a quick getaway in the morning. Also, it's very close to the main streets of Bathurst with easy access to a plethora of restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and fast food outlets.
Close proximity to what I travelled to Bathurst for. I came over to get a photo of the steam engine at the railway station as it's class has significance to my late father. Meals at the hotel, great and the staff on duty very pleasant and made one feel welcome
Central location, great price, friendly and helpful staff. Room had ensuite shower and toilet, electric blankets on bed made for a snug nights sleep. Noise from pub was minimal and didn’t disturb us. Food and drinks were reasonably priced. Cafe in hotel for breakfast was very convenient and the vouchers we were given to use there added more value to our stay.
Spacious modern layout with 2 separate and very large bedrooms with comfortable beds.
Well appointed kitchen.
Outdoor area for breakfast or afternoon tea.
Just 2-3 minutes from local pubs and restaurants.
Quiet area with ample street parking.
Ease of check in and check out process.
Overall the hotel was great value for money, especially in Bathurst. The staff were very friendly, the included breakfast was also very nice. The rooms were clean bright, and spacious with blinds that can potentially keep out all light.
Ideal for 3 adults travelling together. Very comfortable and clean accommodation. After looking around the town we actually decided to have dinner and drinks at the hotel. Meals were generous. Staff extremely friendly and accommodating.
Good value and the self-contained facilities for longer stays and transient workers are great. More a private hostel then hotel, looks like most folks were there for work in the area and the facilities cater well to that crowd.
Studio cabin was comfortable and adequate for an over night stay in Bathurst - we didn't use any of the other facilities in the caravan park as it was too cold to be outside while we were there.
Got refurbished king room. Very comfortable. I was with a group of 20 and all had various things at the restaurant and everyone had a good meal. All staff pleasant.
