We had a very nice prolonged weekend in the Balance hotel. Staff very fiendly, professional. Rooms spacous, great breakfast - loved salmon and prosecco, which brings all the experience on the higher level. Spa is amazing, big with nice pools (one with seawater). Sauna section is huge with great saunas, views. We will definetely return, as we booked already another stay. Highly recommended!

Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast and comfortable rooms. The for-free provided bikes also came in very handy to go to downtown to restaurants and to the lake front with swimming area for which access cards were included in the price. Also close to forest up the hill which is nice for hikes.

It was a lovely little town with quite a few restaurants on offer on the main street and down by the lake, and a super market over the road from where we were staying. We ate at "Little Italy", lovely pasta. Had breakfast at the bakery by the train station - amazing food!
The train station (5 minutes) up the main road was cheap and easy to use to go into Klagenfurt or the other direction of Velden. We booked all our train tickets using trainline app, which was easy too.
It was a short walk down to the Lake which came alive in the evening. It also offered people with families a family friendly park to spend the day on the lake.
One day we hired scooters and followed the lake until we found a place to swim. We stopped at Pritschitz and bathed in the lake, locals had their paddleboards / kayaks out.

Pörtschach is a (touristic) village at the Woerthersee with many restaurants and bars. Excellent for wateractivities but also a good base for walking/hiking.
Sightseeing options in the neighbourhood to spend some days.
We had a very good dinner experience at restaurant Orathai Schiffwirth.

The whole area is perfect for any kind of vacation activity. The seeside is real alpin adria. The city is equipped with everything you need to enjoy your holidays. Bigger cities like Klagenfurt or Villach with many other cultural or sport opportunities are easily accesible.

We really like the spectacular view of the surrounding...
We really like the spectacular view of the surrounding mountains around the lake. Lots of hiking trails available so it's good for those who want to go for a bit outdoor.
If you are there, you have must visit Minimundus and Pyramidkogel (don't miss the slide from the top).
We were in the middle of February, and unfortunately most of the restaurants were closed, in the evening (arrount 7-8 pm) the streets are empty, only a few bars were open.
It was a shame that in Minimundos most of the buildings were covered with some protective stuff, so it was less enjoyable.

The hotel and grounds were in a very nice location on the lake. The spa was the best part.
The boathouse restaurant was pretty good too. Staff were very kind, Mainly German spoken with some English depending on members of staff that were able to help me fill in my broken underused high school German.
There is wide selection for breakfast, it was exceeding my expectations. Inside it is mostly refurbished, the room was nice and modern, it has great quality materials. The hotel is very clean and very quiet, the parking is covered partly. The personnell is very polite and helpful.
Good location within walking distance to Pörtschach railway station. The hotel is very clean, breakfast was tasty with a lot of options. The single room ("Swiss cottage") was in a separate part of the building with entrance directly from the yard.
Nice hotel situated on the highway but very peaceful. There is no direct access to the lake. Kingburger and Marche are in hotel building. We've been upgraded to room with balcony and view. Highly recommend, would stay again.
