Position on lake is nice and city center was quite animated.
Took little train and that was a pleasant ride, with good comments (in German only).

Rustical location, solid Austrian countryside. Positively surprised that grocery stores were open on Sunday. Negatively surprised that I could not actually reach the lake - it was tightly surrounded by private properties. I would have expected maybe a walkway / bike trail around the lake.

The city is nice, easy to stroll on foot. There is a beautiful waterfront walking route, a nice park with playstations for the kids. Nice restaurants and cafe all around the city. You can also ride the tram for a tour.

Velden am Wörthersee is comparable to Monaco in my opinion. There are another type of Austrians and another lifestyle. There is a lot to see and a lot more to do and enjoy. Nice landscapes and nature spots all over the neighborhood.

Beautiful small city near the lake, on the other side of Klagenfurt. Nice bars, walking patches and the most amazing concert venue in the world - Bluesiana Rock Cafe Velden, with great live blues and rock music from all over the world, and the nicest owner ever.

The hotel is absolutely great value for Velden am Worthersee, which is generally very pricey. The location about seven minute walk from the lake is very convenient and the place itself is full of old-world charm. You’d think you just stepped back into a movie set of the early 60s. Rooms are a bit worn out but sizable and the bathrooms have been upgraded. The gentleman who manages the breakfast room is a real charm who totally completes the classic setting.
The hotel is on the outskirts of Velden, but still a short walk, about 10-15 minutes, from the centre. I guess the building has recently been renovated and the lounge area is warm and cosy. Even though we had our room facing the main road it wasn't noisy at night (it's winter so our windows were shut, I don't know if it's still quite in summer during the Sportwagentreffen).

We came to Lake Wörth for cycling. The hotel is particularly well located, unfortunately we did not get a room with a view of the lake, so we were disappointed.

The ground floor of the hotel is beautifully designed, spectacular, and the staff was kind.
It takes around 10 minutes to walk from the hotel to the center, the lake, and the train station. It is very convenient and easy to move around. The room is spacious and clean. I like the balcony in my room. Breakfast is also great and the staff are very friendly.

We arrived with our dog, and he got spoiled by the Hotel staff - a bowl, toy and some snacks were prepared for him on arrival.
Spectacular property! Every now and then you have to treat yourself to world-class luxury, and that’s what you’ll find at the Falkensteiner. The lakefront is perfect and the spa rivals anything you will find in any hotel.
This Hotel is in a great location in Velden, all the staff are so friendly and helpful, car parking is a great bonus.
All in all we spent 6 nights and it was a pleasure to stay.

The hotel is big and comfortable, the rooms are clean and nice, the spa and breakfast absolutely amazing! It is a bit pricey but our stay was great, relaxing and luxurious.
The room was big and clean with a nice view from the 2nd floor. Hotel staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We had breakfast and dinner included, we enjoyed every meal.
