Previously owned by the Maharaj of Madri and restored to its current state, Madri Haveli features elegant rooms with stained glass windows. The area around it is conserved for tourist heritage walk. Situated on a hill, it has a rooftop restaurant and terrace offering city and lake views.

Set in a beautiful traditional Haveli right in the centre of old town Udaipur (excellent location.) The hotel staff were very helpful and welcoming and Sunil was an excellent host giving good advice around local events. We enjoyed our stay so much we extended from four nights to eight nights in two different rooms (both rooms were lovely but if you have the budget I highly recommend going for the suite!)

This charming hostel is situated in the Old City and overlooks the famous Pichola Lake. Hostel Mantra features a traditional Rajasthan Haveli-style décor and houses a rooftop terrace and a restaurant.

The hostel is located within a short walk of shops, restaurants and many other tourist attractions. The City Palace and Jagdish Temple are situated 200 metres away. Udaipur Airport is located 24 km away.

A really wonderful stay with great rooftop views of the city and river. The beds were comfortable and bathroom clean. It was really easy to meet other travelers as well as there were a lot of events hosted as well as free tea at sunset every day. Also, the staff was very kind and helpful and made for a really great experience overall. Would definitely return here on my next visit to Udaipur!

Situated on the eastern banks of the famous Lake Pichola and the Lal Ghat Road sits Jagat Niwas Palace, an early 17th century haveli (mansion) featuring traditional Mewar architecture. It provides Ayurvedic massages, horse riding and folk puppet shows upon request. Free Wi-Fi is available.

The staff and the view, in that order, make this a most pleasant and romantic stay. The room and facilities (incl hot water) were perfect (thank you for allowing us access to the room earlier than permitted) The restaurant staff, food, and view will be a memory we will preserve. The best hotel in Udaipur.

I felt immediately at home in this most wonderful gust house! Both the owners and the staff went way out of their way to make sure everything was comfortable. The rooms are very clean and gorgeously designed. I would stay there again in an instant. One of my favorite hotels ever-- and I have traveled all over the world. It is charming, safe and delicious! What more could a woman traveling on her own want?! I feel like I have life long friends in Udaipur!

There won't be a better place to stay in Udaipur. Yes, it is expensive for India, but if you want that little bit of luxury in a gorgeous setting with views over the lake, great food, fantastic service, friendly and helpful staff, 5 min walk to the Palace gates, and frankly a get away from it all vibe this is the place for you. It is very very lovely boutique.

There is nothing to rule out about this homestay. It was one of the most beautiful and pleasant stays we have ever had. The staff is extremely helpful and accommodating. We booked a suite and could see a breathtaking sunrise every morning from our bed. We would come again just because of this homestay! The service, the interior design/furnishings and the view were a great experience. We can recommend this more than affordable homestay to anyone.
