Incredible stay in an architectural gem, a true hidden treasure in the forest. Inspired build that made us feel at one in nature. Gorgeous home with a well equipped kitchen, extremely comfortable bedding and views for days. Made to feel like we were sleeping in the tree tops! Private yet easy to access and find. Wood fireplace at the heart of the home kept everything warm and cosy. Cooking here at night was a real treat! Short (beautiful) stroll to incredible beach and only a couple of minutes drive from pancake rocks. Highly recommend!

The location was excellent! We were right on the beach. There was a picnic table to sit on and watch the big waves. The sunset was spectacular! The cottage was clean, comfortable and cabin-like, with a small kitchen and living space - great for our family of 5 adults. It was so nice sleeping to the sound of the waves at night.

In a great location and the couples retreat was lovely. There was also a good selection of teas and chocolates for us which was a nice touch. I loved the cosy library upstairs, the lounge, bedroom and decor was lovely. The hot tub was a good bonus too.

Brilliant location amongst trees. Very private. Close to the beach and surrounding natural scenery, walks, etc. Basic accommodation and self catering was sufficient for a1 night stay. Rustic, like a mix between camping and cabin. Really friendly hosts.

It was the perfect stop on our NZ trip and we loved the location and cleanliness of the place. The cabin was right next to Pancake rocks and it was exactly was we needed for the evening, it was spotlessly clean and quite charming in its decor. Would have loved to stay more than one night as there were so many things to explore around. Pub close by was a welcome bonus

Nice and cozy, sort of cottage style, the only thing I would improve is the shower. Otherwise no complaints at all. Good location, easy access. If you are accustomed to this type of accommodation it’s perfect value for money.

We got upgraded to a slightly larger cabin by the beach (Tui) as it was available and we had a 16mth old. Lots of space for the cot. Lovely cottage close to walking path to the beach. We got to see a weka just outside in the morning which was a nice suprise!
