The location and view is amazing. The hosts are very nice and welcoming, and everyone puts in a lot of effort into making you feel comfortable. The rooms are clean, breakfast is fulfilling and there is always fresh fruit in the morning, and a refreshing welcome drink when coming back to the hotel, even more kind gestures like that.

Tam coc is worth staying in for minimum 3 nights. We could have easily spent a week here - to be surrounded by natural beauty. Traffic was minimal at time we went (In May), so cycling around was amazing. However it was hot and humid weather. Lots of reasonably priced eating options at walking distance. Very tourist friendly place. Recommend boating in Tang An - longer duration for same pricing as boating in Tam coc.

A beautiful place, lots to see and would recommend at least 2 days in one area and 2 days or more in another. Lots to see beautiful sites, walks, nature,. Quiet and calm in some places, busy but lovely in others.
Do use a bicycle, znd cycle the rice fields, local Taxis or the grab cars.
Visit the bird Sanctuary but don't stay there. And do Tam coc boat ride...stunning, as is the walk to the dragon! Take your time if you can.
While touristy its also got many non touristy areas...slow down smell the roses and enjoy. So many great places to stay, to eat....preferred it here to Cat ba island!

A lovely, peaceful area perfect for getting out of the city and into nature. It's been wonderful to see the steps the municipality have taken to clean up the area and protect the natural resources. Huge improvement from a few years ago!
The town centre is vibey and best for travellers looking for a bit of a party. But Ninh Binh is surrounded by plenty of peaceful homestays that are perfect for relaxing.
The best attractions are Trang An boat tours (don't bother with the Tam Coc boats), Mua Caves and look-out point, and biking around the little roads.

Beautiful countryside with amazing mountain views and rice fields. So much to see and do. Just get on a bike and explore! We visited Trang An, Hoa Lu and Tam Coc Cave in two days. Wish we would have had time to see more.

A hotel located in the center, a few steps from Tam Coc wharf. I was surprised because the street was crowded and bustling with hotels and restaurants close together. But our room is very well soundproofed, every detail is beautifully and reasonably furnished with all the necessary amenities exuding luxury, the breakfast is full of nutrients, the food chosen by the homeowner is green and green. fresh , scooters available for rent and same day laundry service . I would recommend to anyone coming to Ninh Binh.

It is perfectly located. Quiet enough because a bit secluded but a 5 mins motorbike ride to Tam Coc. The hotel is brand new and so beautiful. The rooms are of good dimensions with windows on the three sides pf the bungalow. Really gorgeous. The bathrooms are big too! Bed was super comfortable. The staff were very attentive and knowledgeable. We loved the breakfast and their juice and coffee. The grounds are dreamy too. I highly recommend the place. Super clean and very romantic.
The location of this hotel was fantastic. The hotel offers free bicycles, which helped us to get around town and visit cafes and nearby restaurants. The location is very scenic, and the hotel helped to arrange transportation to beautiful areas of Tam Coc and Ninh Binh. Also, the hotel has a great rooftop to enjoy a beverage after a day of exploring and watch the beautiful sunset.

The perfect place to stay when visiting Ninh Binh. Close to great bars and restaurants in Tam Coc and an easy drive/scoot to Trang An for boat tours and attractions. You can rent a scooter from the hotel and book onward travel very easily. The manager Kelvin was so friendly and helpful. We had a very comfortable stay. The room was very modern and clean. Highly recommend.
Perfectly placed next to the main street you can reach Tam Coc Boats in a few minutes or take a bike and drive to any sightseeing in Ninh Binh.

Loved this hostel, one of my favourites in Vietnam. It's a great place to meet people and the pool and outdoor area is a real hub for both people staying here and other travellers staying in Tam Coc. There's plenty to explore and do nearby, but it's also great to just spend a few days lazing by the pool.

Our best hotel in Vietnam so far ! The room was perfect and quiet thanks to the double layer of window.The hotel is situated at 5min by walk to a lot of restaurants and even less to the lake. But the real plus was the staff ! They speak a very good english and are always very helpful to book anything or give some advice about the great things to see in Tam Coc.

Close to several location like the Bich Dong pagoda, nearby there's a boat trip station (I recommend Trang An tho), then there's a bird valley and others. You can rent a scooter or bike right there. I'm quite pleased with the stay, very nice view, and not crowded (it's a bit further away from the busy tam coc village where most hotels are located).
Our stay at Horizon Bungalow was extraordinary. The Team was so welcoming and caring, it was by far the best service we have ever experienced in a hotel! Everything was perfect, the breakfast was incredibly good, the service excellent and the landscape around was amazing! This is a must go to hotel if you visit Tam Coc or Ninh Binh!
Fantastic family villa room, clean, comfortable, spacious. The hotel staff were so friendly, helpful and made us feel so welcome. Beautiful gardens and pool, great breakfast. We really enjoyed riding the complimentary bikes to the local pagoda through the beautiful rice paddies. Thankyou Tam Coc Retreat such a special stay!
These cute cottages are centrally located, walking distance to everything. The rooms are oversized, clean, and best of all, quiet. Most importantly the staff is extremely friendly and hospitable. There are a lot of homestays to choose from in Tam Coc/Ninh Binh, consider yourself lucky if you are able to stay at this one.
Stellar location on a peaceful street away from the crowds, this four room property offers clean (and spacious) rooms with great sunlight overlooking a beautifully landscaped garden. Mr. Viet Homestay is family run by some of the friendliest faces in Tam Coc/Ninh Binh and is definitely recommended.
The place is new, nice, comfy, good wifi, good AC... No complaints. Just be aware it is a short bike ride away from ninh Binh and Tam Coc, but with a scooter, it was lovely. And the family that runs it are a delight.
