Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. We liked the location, lots of shops and restaurants near by. We happened to be there on the weekend when a number of streets are closed to traffic in the area, the Gardenia is just inside that area so we could easily walk to restaurants and bars and enjoy street entertainment. It's also walking distance to the large market and the Imperial Citadel, we did take a taxi back due to the heat. Room was comfortable and large, AC worked great, breakfast was good, Vietnamese choices or omelettes, pancakes, fruit, etc. I would stay here again.

I love experiencing ancient History. And this is a perfect place for that. I wish I would have stayed a bit longer here. We visited Imperial City of Hue. We hired a bike and it was very convenient for us.

Loved the antiquities museum.
Loved the antiquities museum. Situated near the citadel but a separate ticket. Lovely old wooden palace. Takes about 1-1.5hr to visit. Often missed in the day tours. A day tour is a good idea as they drive you around to the key sights which are quite dispersed. Often excellent value with lunch thrown in.

The Citadel was a little disappointing.
The Citadel was a little disappointing. It has the potential to be a major attraction. The grounds needed lots of attention. The main royal palace was under construction or maintenance, so a 'no-go zone'.
The audio guide and associated map numbering system used to direct users to all the features of the site was very hard to follow and in some cases inaccurate.

Having read about the damage to the Citadel during the 1968...
Having read about the damage to the Citadel during the 1968 events, expectations about the Citadel were modest. However, both the city and the Citadel turned out to be quite charming and captivating. We spent more than half a day exploring the Citadel.
Using Grab for transportation made it easy and convenient to explore the city.
Just try avoid going during hot periods - we went early April and felt temperatures were extremely hot around 42-44c.

In addition Hue is still not too overrun by tourists, i.e. if you stay a couple of nights at which you have the opportunity to go to local restaurants like CHAN and see how vietnamese families enjoy life.

Hotels don't carry enough tourist information for first time visitors. This should be the role of the Tourist Board. Also a better city map showing more details on how to get to the sites, where to buy tickets and where is the entrance.
The Jade is always a comfortable , clean, safe place and located conveniently . The staff are exceptional especially the receptionist. This is our third stay here and it never disappoints . Breakfast is simple and tasty enough . If you want buffet or 5 star breakfast go somewhere else . One other thing that sets this apart is how quiet this hotel is no one banging doors, moving furniture or yelling in the corridor ( well it wasn't the times we stayed) that's an added bonus when travelling . We will return when in Hue again .
Beautiful hotel in stunning grounds. Rooms were spacious and clean. Enormous pool with pool bar and poolside dining. Staff were very attentive throughout the resort, especially Thanh from guest relations. Fantastic food at the restaurant. Breakfast was great with a good variety. Cocktails and canapes each afternoon were a lovely treat. Just a five minute taxi ride into Hue (we used Grab which is readily available). There is a shuttle bus which runs from the hotel but the times didn’t work for us. Would highly recommend.
The hotel was exceptionally well located. The toom was exactly as in the pictures (and not small at all, how I feared given how thin the building is).
Moreover, the breakfast was great and the staff unbelievably helpful!
The room was spotless and there was no bad smell at all (which is important as about 80% of all hotels in Vietnam suffer from this issue).
We will definitely stay again and can only recommend this hotel.

Quiet neighbourhood.
After 10 days in Vietnam, it has been, by far, the best hotel where we've slept!
The staff is super friendly, flexible and helpful, the breakfast is delicious and the bedrooms are super clean and comfortable.

HUE is not like most other hotspots in vietnam, there is no major backpackers/ social place so when u book a place LOOK FOR A GOOD BED! , this has a great bed, central , everything within 5 min walk

Great location, nice clean rooms, comfy bed and lovely linen. We were in 15th floor, great views of Hue. Surprised at how quiet it was at night , no noise from other rooms or corridors at all. Large choice for breakfast. Hotel organised a day tour with English speaking guide and driver to see 2 tombs, pagoda and ancient city - was good even in the rain.
Stayed for 4 nights to visit historical sites in Hue. It was great to come back from a long sigh-seeing day to a very clean and spacious room overlooking the city, river and beyond. It was helpful in navigating our ways as this high-rise hotel was visible from most areas of the city. Very nice staff people. The pool and gym were wonderful as well.
Great little hotel at a perfect location in Hue run by the most helpful host that made me and my family feel truly at home. Wouldn't have wanted to stay anywhere else if I went again. The description is accurate: the rooms might not be the newest but the host's attention for detail more than makes up for this.
This is a pretty new hotel, with very comfortable rooms. Good design. I haven't slept better anywhere else in Vietnam. Felt so rested! Breakfast was also one of the best ones of my whole trip. Awesome hotel with all you need. The breakfast was excellent with a large choice of food. The bedrooms are big and well equipped. The beds are comfortable. The staff was amazing very helpful and attentive to your needs. Senna Hue is close to the center (5 minutes walk) and yet it is quiet.
We only spent one night in this amazing hotel. It is an incredibly luxury hotel at a very valuable price. We wish, we could enjoy more the facilities of the hotel, the beautiful, comfortable, big room with stunning view over the city. An adress to keep in mind when coming back to Hué.
