The best thing about the hotel is the view, provided you book a room with lounge access (these are rooms starting from the 23rd floor) and a view on Bosphorus.
By the way, don’t worry, just like in the 'best' hotels in Turkey and Egypt, they will immediately offer you a paid upgrade to a different room.
If you have a room with lounge access, there’s no need to pay for half board at the hotel, you can simply have dinner in the lounge from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
If you do purchase dinner, be aware that the menu will be separate from the main one, very limited and quite repetitive. After our second visit, we stopped going altogether.
The funniest part, Your 'classic' Caesar salad will consist of lettuce leaves, grated cheese, and dressing, that’s it. Meanwhile, at the next table,
someone who ordered from the regular menu will have chicken included in theirs ))) The most unpleasant experience was that $300 was stolen from our room.
We paid everywhere by card but took a little cash just in case. Not all of it was stolen, only part of it, so it wouldn’t be immediately noticeable.
Since we didn’t use the cash, we only discovered the theft when we got home. As you can imagine, you cannot control who enters your room.
There was a camera in front of our room, and for several days, there were some people sitting near the elevator on the floor, just sitting on chairs all the time.
Of course, security found nothing, and I am sure the result would have been the same if we had reported it directly at the hotel. Oh, and after cleaning,
the maid leaves a note with her name, asking you to praise her cleaning, apparently the hotel has come up with this kind of competition.
Overall, everything was great, just be careful!

The city of Istanbul offers a trip unlike any other, encompassing Asian and European cultures to create a heady mix of art, music and food. Istanbul is one of those rare cities that leaves a lasting impression on your soul. From the moment I arrived, I was swept up in its vibrant energy, stunning architecture, and rich cultural tapestry. Straddling both Europe and Asia, Istanbul is a place where ancient history and modern life blend seamlessly.
Walking through the streets of Sultanahmet feels like stepping back in time. The awe-inspiring Hagia Sophia and the majestic Blue Mosque are more than landmarks—they’re living stories carved in stone. Just a short stroll away, the Grand Bazaar offers a feast for the senses with its colorful textiles, handmade crafts, and the warm hum of local life.
The Bosphorus cruise was another highlight—watching the sun set over the city’s skyline, with the call to prayer echoing in the distance, was simply magical. Istanbul at night glows with a romantic, mysterious charm.
But what truly makes this city special is its people. Warm, welcoming, and proud of their heritage, every encounter felt genuine. Whether sipping Turkish tea with a shop owner or enjoying

Beautiful historical sites which must not be missed.
Beautiful historical sites which must not be missed. Everyone with a passion for history MUST visit Istanbul at least once. The Hagia Sofia,The Blue Mosgue, Domabatche Palace and Topkapi Palace are some of the world’s greatest buildings. The bazaars are fun but mainly for tourists. The adjoining streets are truly authentic Turkey and are an essential part of any visit to Istanbul.

Istanbul is, obviously, a must-visit city of world importance. I last visited over 30 years peviously and it was sad to see this historically significant place reduced to little more than a haven for tourists. All of the important sites are there but now hordes of visitors queue to be ripped off by exhorbitant entrance fees. The quaint family restaurants have been replaced by international fast food establishments serving their so-called traditional' dishes. Inded, we found more 'Turkish' shops markets and restaurants in Taksim than in Sultanhamet.

It is affordable for one of the world's great cities with a large number of interesting tourist sites. A ticket which gives entry to multiple tourist sites is good value. It feels safe, the people are friendly and helpful and public transport is convenient and cheap. Restaurants are everywhere, reasonably priced but focused predominantly on Turkish cuisine. The metro from the airport is a bit less convienient than a taxi but faster, safer and much, much, cheaper.

Lots to see!
Lots to see! We visited the Grand Bazaar and took a boat trip on the Bosphorus. Trams are excellent value but crowded and very hot.
I enjoyed haggling over prices in the bazaar but be careful as you can be caught out if you don't remember the correct exchange rate.
Definitely the best value for food are the street vendors and where the locals eat. You will pay a lot more in the tourist locations and restaurants.

Istanbul is an exciting city with a mix of historical and modern. It was wonderful staying in the historical part we walked to all the historical places - Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Bascilica Cistern, Süleymaniye Mosque, and both bazaars. And of course we visited Taksim Square, Istikal Street and the pier. We were there 2 days but still we saw a lot. The food and people were wonderful. We loved Istanbul hope to visit again and stay longer!

Thanks a lot, next stay in Istanbul in this hotel!
Amazing location, just next to Taksim square. Room is newly furbished and very clean. Very close to bus shuttles which go to airport, also close to Istanbul metro. Hotel staff was also friendly and helpful. If you are in Istanbul for couple of days and looking for a central hotel just to sleep, perfect choice.
Erboy is a very nice hotel, very well located between 2 tram/metro stops. Few min walk to Bosphorus and Sultanahmet.
Staff is friendly, special thanks to Guest Relations manager, Egle, for the advices and for booking for us bosphore cruise trip.
