The city of Istanbul offers a trip unlike any other, encompassing Asian and European cultures to create a heady mix of art, music and food. The amazing Old Town and the Sultanahmet are home to iconic Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia. More history is hidden in the Topkapi Palace, where you can glimpse the splendor and opulence of Turkey’s Ottoman heritage.
Take a stroll through the historic center or the busy Taksim Square before watching the sun set behind countless mosques and minarets. Local fish markets and numerous restaurants lining the bridge to Galata offer the Golden Horn’s daily catch.
If you prefer the fine art of bargaining to fine art, lose yourself in the Grand Bazar and maybe you’ll emerge with a hookah, some Turkish coffee, or even a carpet. The Spice Bazar further immerses you in the sights, smells, and tastes of Turkish culture.
Getting to Istanbul is an easy trip from Ataturk International Airport or Sabiha Gokcen Airport. Whether you want a luxury hotel on the Asian side or a budget hostel in Taksim Square, Booking.com has over 1,000 great accommodations for a vacation in Istanbul.
I stayed mostly in Fatih and on the European side.
I stayed mostly in Fatih and on the European side. A vibrant inspiring city with astonishing architecture. Streets are full of beautiful things and delicious food. There are shops, markets and street venders on every corner. I love that it is a coast town and every road leads to water. Here you have both... you can go right into the busyness of the city´s streets or you can just go enjoy a long walk by the sea. Or you can go discovering the landmarks, museums and culture, if that is what you like. The potential of Istanbul is endless.

Friendly cosmopolitan city with lots of history, culture and art. The transport system is great and very affordable. We spent 5 days there but could have stayed more. Each neighbourhood has something different to offer. People are very friendly. Many restaurants to choose from for all budgets. Loved Kadikoy for it's eclectic authenticity. Do take the ferry, the views are spectacular, especially at sunset.

What a wondrous city! Exotic, exciting, fun, full of verve, never seems to sleep! A walk along the Bosphorus, a visit to the spice market, celebrating Sufi romanticism, paying respects at enormous and splendid mosques, there's lots to see and do, and filled with super restaurants, excellent food and overall, great value for money!

Beautiful sites, tickets at entries to mosques are well over 25€ (too much) there are ones you can go in for free.
Men are absolutely disgusting, they grab your hand and drag you inside to restaurants, give inappropriate “compliments” and the vendors try to scam you for the last dime, for understanding and new travelers I think I would be helpful to know-
Shop drink- 20-35 Tl
Bag of chips- 40 Tl
One kg of baklava reasonably priced at maximum 600-650 Tl
One magnet souvenir is 25 Tl anyone trying a higher price is trying to scam you.
Bring comfortable shoes be prepared to walk a lot, not that much to see but you can go on a 1,5 boat ride for 100 Tl, the other boat toes range from 19€ to 90€ not any different.
the corn 🌽 T the stalls for 30 Tl is absolutely the best,
Cats are everywhere and they are very friendly, the bank employees airport employees will push you not say excuse me or anything, are not well mannered at all very entitled and unhelpful.
Regular people are very friendly and nice, it is not a dangerous country to visit as a single woman
Russian tourists are everywhere so basically all places understand some level of russian.

Istanbul is a bustling and dynamic metropolis.
Istanbul is a bustling and dynamic metropolis. As well as it is beautiful and interesting.
My tips for urban westerners:
1. If possible choose the airport Sabiha Gökcen airport on the Asian Side. For 0.70 US/Euro yo get a one-line metro all the way in to the city (Kadiköy port).
2. Get the IstanbulKart for public transportation. Boats, Trams, Metro, cable cars and buses. Easy to top up when needed. $/€ 2-5 a day spent in my case, and we used it for 4-6 trips a day.
3. You like a cold beer on occassions? Kadiköy, Karaköy and Besiktas is where you will find bars. In Old town and the very muslim Üsükar port, most restaurants don't serve alcohol.
4. Karaköy is a good hub/area to stay in. Seaport area of Kadiköy is the nicest part, but a bit far from the landmarks.
5. In Taksim square and along Istikal street prices are higher than elsewhere and there are plenty of scammers. An initially priced $3 ice cream ended up being $12 instead. Cone was not included and pistaggio flavour was 150% extra. Just keep calm and smile, you will be scammed here.

We enjoy the vibrancy and bustle of the place.
We enjoy the vibrancy and bustle of the place. The frequent trams are a brilliant and cheap way to get around.
Entrance fees to the major tourist spots were dearer than expected.
We booked a guided walking tour through a part of the city which was unknown to us, Fener and Balat (Fenerwalks). It was excellent value and conducted by a very knowledgeable and personable young lady, Kubra. we recommend it highly. A bit of Istanbul history unknown by any of us.
Nothing, because all the negative experiences ruined my experience of visiting Istanbul, I will never stay here again. Also, don't book any excursions with the hotel, they pocket huge amounts of the profits.. For Bosphorus boat tour they tried charging me an extortionate 500 USD per person at first for booking through the hotel. Being a tourist from the UK, they try to sell the best boats Istanbul has to offer to you, but in reality you'll get a boat worth 10 euros at the maximum. Be careful of these deceitful tactics!
Hamza is the best!!!! He was very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. He was very kind to help us book our night bus to Cappadocia, book our hamam (which is a great recommendation from him as well), and arrange for our taxi going to bus station.
Rooms are nice and clean too! Our favorite part is the high pressure hot shower and the location (located center and close to a lot of tourist attractions in Istanbul).
Will definitely come back and stay in this same hotel. 5/5 stars🌟
The location is very conveniently located next to Taksim square with all its transportation options and Istiklal around. Still, it’s a part of Cihangir, a very nice and artistic part of Istanbul. The hotel is located on a quiet side street, which is really important for a good night rest.
I was checked into a higher category of room, which was a nice surprise. Staff was helpful, speaks English and Russian. AC worked well, and Wi-Fi too. I had a personal router in the room.
Location is exceptional, it's in taksim square and at the same time we didn't hear much noise.
Different kinds of transportation is available and so close.
Aras was very helpful and kind and let us extend our stay and changed our room to a double room which was perfect and had everything we needed
The room was spacious unlike a lot of hotels with the same budget.
Totally recommened if you want to be in the middle of Istanbul on a budget and enjoy your stay in a nice place.
Outstanding! The hotel is within walking distance from the centre, there are about ten rooms in total, in a neighbourhood very close to Taksim Square and Istklal street. I am a girl student and I came alone to visit Istanbul and look for an Erasmus flat while I was staying at Taksim Pandora Residence.
The owners are very helpful, any request was fulfilled in record time, the rooms were always clean and had everything I needed to stay comfortably, as in my case.
The hosts and owner were very friendly and hospitable, treating guests like friends and family. I also really liked the ambiance of the hotel as well as how the rooms were decorated. It is also very strategically located as it is just steps from Istiklal Street and Taksim Square. And even if it is so near the busy and crowded area of Taksim, I still felt very safe and secure. I would definitely stay here again whenever I am in Istanbul.
Incredible location just off Taksim Square and Istiklal, but on a quiet side street with no noise or safety issues at all. The hotel is only 4 months old, so very clean and well furnished. The staff were super friendly and went out of their way to be helpful, particularly Rob, he was fantastic. The 7th floor terrace has one of the best views of Istanbul and Taksim, and lots of space - it worked well for a quick workout or yoga session!
Fantastic location , super close to all the action at Taksim square and also the Havaist bus stop for the Istanbul airports .
Our room was immaculate with a beautiful side view of the BOSPHORUS . We always came back to a super clean room after a long day of work and sightseeing . The breakfast spread was vast catering to everyone’s need !
The people at the doors always greeted us with a warm smile . All in all a perfect stay !
This is the best hotel you can pick in Beyoglu, Istanbul area which is near Taksim Square, Istiklal street, Galata tower and is well-connected with metro stations to all major attractions in Sultanmehmet area namely Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque etc.
Plus, the hospitality of Murat, Bora and Karem is amazing, and it feels like a home away from home. I highly recommend this cozy hotel. 10/10
Mustafa (the owner) is a very helpful guy and helped us alot around ISTANBUL. We booked the penthouse room and it was just superb. If anyone wants a 5 star experience in Turkey, blue tuana suites is the go. It was my most comfortable stay in Istanbul as compared to other hotels in sultanahmet.
Will stay here again and definitely recommended to anyone who wants to stay in sultanahmet.
the location was amazing and by walk u can reach to the top destinations like glata tower, taksim square and Istiklal boulevard. The staff were very helpful especially Murat who had even surprise us with a birthday cake for my . Overall i would strongly recommend Istanbul pera hell hotel for those whom like to experience the good Istanbul.
This hotel is in a quiet neighborhood, although near Taksim Square and a great location for exploring a section of Istanbul we had not spent enough time in when exploring Sultanahmet three weeks earlier.
The staff were friendly and the room spotless at a reasonable price. The included breakfast was great.
We would stay here again.
the staff was friendly and really helpful especially selcuk and saftir they were great hope u give them a raise 😂🤍 , the hotel is quiet and very clean had the best stay in Istanbul even though i stayed in 5 stars hotels and expensive hotels this one was better and the quietest & best of them all
EXCELLENT BOUTIQUE HOTEL IN CENTRAL ISTANBUL
- Professional team offering 5 stars services.
- Good situation of the hotel in the vicinity of Taksim square which is the heart of the business and leisure quarter in Istanbul.Although it is very quiet.
- Excellent breakfast : generous and varied.
Location is great. It's easy to get there by bus or Metro from New airport and from SAW airport as well. Taksim square is in 2 minutes from Hotel.
Istiklal street is nearby.
Staff is friendly.
Good hotel to stay 1-2 days there, espacialy during transit in Istanbul.
This stay was an emergency stay because of 1st May. Our main hotel was at Taksim square, the centre of Istanbul. Because of the 1st May celebrations the centre was closed so we were forced to search for a hotel close to the airport. Location is 20 minutes from airport.
Excellent hotel near Istanbul Airport. Clean hotel, all the amenities available. Friendly staff. Very new rooms. Great view. I really recommend this hotel for everyone who wants to stay near airport. They also arrange airport transfer with big van.
Location is close to Taksim square , shopping , restaurants , staff were very friendly especially Bahar, cleaning lady was awesome and very friendly , it will be our hotel in Istanbul , thank you and keep up the good work .
near to Istanbul Mall, I chise this, hotel as value for money, was good and secondly after the tour we want to be near mall of istanbul for shopping and nor far to catch the airport while finishing the tour.
