Nice modern hotel with spacious rooms. We really liked the open layout of the hotel and the pool area. Staff were lovely and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and looked like it did in the photos. There was always a tuk tuk waiting outside which was very handy. The hotel is next to a large shopping centre which was very convenient.

I felt slightly unsafe as a female traveler here, there were not many likeminded travelers around me, it felt very congested and the locals here could not communicate easily with me as an english speaker. I didnt find people to be very friendly here. The beaches/bays here were not very beautiful and there were not many attractions or places to eat good food. Don't recommend staying here as a western traveler if you have the choice of going straight to Port Barton or El Nido (both of which are INCREDIBLE) :)

Nice town to stay and visit the underground river and some nice beaches in the area. There are some good restaurants and some good sea food restaurants. On our last we eat in Kalui Seafood restaurant, a real treat!

Like other cities in the PHL, Puerto Princesa has changed a lot over the past 30 years. More people, more vehicles, more shops, more resorts. One thing that has not changed YET is the respectfulness and courteousness of the local folks.
The highlight of Coron is its many options on island hopping tours.
The highlight of Busuanga is the Calauit Island -- a mini-Kenyan or Tanzanian Safari. The giraffe feeding event in Calauit is more enjoyable than in any giraffe safari in the world due to the sheer number of giraffe that goes to the feeding area.
The highlight of El Nido is its lovely high end resort and the twin lakes tour.
The highlight of Puerto Princesa is the Underground Cave.
San Vicente is now being developed as another option. Its beach is very long so this looks promising.
Having experienced the Palawan highlights, I am content with the peace and quiet at the Dolce Vita Hotel. Important for me is Dolce Vita's clean and deep swimming pool.

We stayed at the Astoria.
We stayed at the Astoria. The one thing that surprised me was they didn't take me ATM cards. I did have credit cards available and my traveling companion was local so I was able to work around it. The bed was a little firm, other than that, the room was perfect. They said the room didn't have a view, but the place is so pretty, the view of the grounds was still magnificent. Especially with the ocean peaking around the next building. The nightly show at dinner was great and the staff was sooooooo nice. We arranged a few tours and saw things like Port Barton and the Underground River. The island is beautiful and I would definitely go back.

The room (Water Villa) was good.
The room (Water Villa) was good. But the beaches are horrible and the food quality is extremely poor.. overall experience was disappointing. One would be better off booking at The or the Ritz Carlton for the same price.

we definitely have a great stay there. they given us amenities and even a rubber slippers which is cool. we got everything in the room we needed, a television, an aircon, wifi, and hot/cold shower. the staffs are so friendly and helped us to book for our tours. the breakfast is decent. I appreciate that they dropped us to the airport after checking out. Just don't forget to bring insect repellent. Very Instagrammable ")
I liked the location and the availability of the airport shuttle! The breakfast was great in the morning. The large room was able to accommodate my 2 cousins, my mother, and myself easily. I would stay there again if visiting Puerto Princesa. I also would like to shout out ate Apple who worked at the tour desk while we stayed there!! She truly was so helpful and kind, and our trip would not have been as amazing without all of her help. Thank you, thank you again ate Apple!
Balai Princesa is a hidden Gem in Puerto Princesa. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, the staff are very attentive and easy to coordinate with. It was nice to have cafe lilim for the complementary breakfast and a place for drinks at night 😊
Our group was very happy with the stay!
Special mention for the jacquzzi and Spa offers which made our stay that much more relaxing 😊
Thank you Balai Princesa!
The rooms are fine and I think it is just right for its price. This place is good for short stay in palawan since it is near the airport. I had a comfortable sleep since their linens are clean. Also, if you plan to have a puerto princesa city tour. They have a free one-way pick-up/drop-off in the airport. They also have free coffee and drinking water.
Great location and friendly staff. My last day before leaving Palawan (PPS) I had to stay close by to airport for an early flight, so I rebook where I have been before. The staff always helpful and friendly. Many options to eat in walking distance and even to go for a walk at the bay. Totally a good place to stay when around Puerto Princesa.
I enjoyed the hotel. The staff were very warm and pleasing. They tend to us right away in case we needed help or assistance. We enjoyed the view, pool and food of the hotel. The price is very reasonable for this hotel! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to visit Puerto Princesa. Thank you very much!
Great service, awesome food selection at their restaurant, and very convenient location. Close to the airport and plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. The owner and staff were amazing; treated their guest like family. Has the best selection of breakfast, coffee, wine, and cocktails in all of Puerto Princesa.
The hotel is a bit far from the city and was very quiet and relaxing. Has a big pool so you can just relax and unwind after doing different tours in Puerto Princesa. Staff was very helpful and can also book tours through them. I booked the tours just from messaging them thru booking.com.
Spacious room and bathroom. Clean. Ac, water heater, good bed. And the host Dani really helps us out with the information where to go and what to do in Puerto Princesa and Palawan. And also arrange us the tour, renting motorbike, and transportation. Really appreciate it!
Super nice hotel in the center of Puerto princesa.Close to the airport and all the bars and souvenir shops. Pool is great plus for refreshing after day trips. Also very good massage service. It is a sin to miss that when staying in this hotel
Very cute and quaint hotel. Spotlessly clean. I 💗 the location. Situated in a very quiet area but close and walking distance to everything (Baywalk, SM, 7-11, public market, Mercury, etc). If in Puerto Princesa, this is the place to stay.
Little oasis in the heart of Puerto Princesa, very central yet peaceful and quiet at the same time. Sorrounded by flowers and plants. Pool area is great and the restaurant too (we tried only breakfast). Staff super helpful and friendly
We were so delighted with all the assistance and help we received from the staff! Always so attentive, and ready to help us with any need! Grateful to have stayed at Grande Vista Hotel during our Puerto Princesa staying ^^
The hotel and staff were wonderful! We enjoyed the in-house restaurant and the location was very close to a mall. My expectations were succeeded and I would definitely stay here again if I travel back to Puerto Princesa!
Used this hotel due to close proximity to Puerto Princesa airport. Only complaint was how it was quite nosey at night, our room looked out onto the road. Rooms were standard and staff were friendly.
Friendly staff.
Strong wifi
Close to the Ferry, the church and Plaza Cuartel
They helped with airport/hotel transfers.
Offered suggestions for the best restaurants in Puerto Princesa.
Great hotel, staff, wifi, laundry service, motorbike rent, big bathroom. You can book everything in the hotel - tours, transports to city or any palawan destination.
The hotel is a wonderful little village in a remote area of Palawan. The environment at the beach was very nice and the staff very friendly and efficient.
