We loved the location of this property. We thought it had the best restaurants in walking distance like Lily Cafe, El Moro, Mr. Taco, Casa Mission and many more. We didn’t have a car and mostly used The moto taxis which were 40 or 50 pesos. The villa itself (5) had a full kitchen and enough room for all of us. The island is small enough where everything is a quick walk or taxi ride. There is also an ATM nearby, a fresh fruit and vegetable market, laundry services, and Waldo’s. Please know that it’s not a 5 star hotel as it’s older but it was great for us. The staff is kind and helpful. The pool was nice too.
Hotel Plaza Cozumel offers an excellent panoramic view of the island and Cozumel's sea channel. Walk a few steps and visit the Cozumel Museum, the Main Square and Ferry Pier in front of us.

They will give you a great day on the water. If the wind is good they'll get you a spinnaker ride! Check it out! The snorkeling is great! We stayed at the Barracuda twice. Once two weeks prior.
We stayed at the Barracuda twice. Once two weeks prior. This time it was because our booking at another resort was mishandled. I knew we would have just as a good, or better time if we spent the last 5 days at the Barracuda. We did. We enjoy being close to downtown for shopping and especially eating. We have two friends on the island that make for having a great time. This time we rented for one day a dune buggy. I went parasailing, my wife, snorkeling. We enjoy resting and taking int eh beach area of the Barracuda and the No Name Bar. As one staying there we received a 50% off our drinks and food if we paid cash (we did). Credit card still got you a 35% off. It was wonderful. When back in Cozumel, we will stay there from 1 to 4 nights anytime.

Since my first visit more than forty years ago, Cozumel has grown by an order of magnitude. I always consider it unfortunate but perhaps inevitable when the cruise ships find an island paradise. There follows all the same shops (tanzanite, anyone?) and price inflation, and for divers like us, it doesn't do the reefs any good. But Cozumel still has its charm. You can walk away from the cruise ship dominated centro and find a delightful town. Most of the Island is undeveloped and the windward side is fun to visit. Rent a jeep or a volkswagen convertible, grab your snorkeling gear, and spend the day swimming and snorkeling from a number of beaches. And of course the magnificent reefs that made Cozumel famous with SCUBA divers.

Sue strand was the best host her place is awesome the home is beautiful and best location you have everything you need in her home so don’t pack a lot I stayed two weeks originally it was for one I didn’t want to go home thankfully she had extra days open I did not want to go home and already let her know I am coming back in six weeks.I named her place Sue’s Heaven because that what it felt like entering her wrought iron gate you feel like all your worries are left at the door.Sue place is in the safest area right in town with locked gate and locked front door and a locked entrance to second floor and again a lock on your private entrance to your room which I never felt like I had to lock. Her neighbor next door is the sweetest lady I loved it that I get up normally around four am for coffee and she is an early bird so I would have a coffee buddy and she loves to go walking in morning first morning there we walked on ocean for six miles and stopped at my favorite restaurant on ocean Sunset and had the best breakfast than off to walk it off when we got back home I jumped in the lovely pool and layer out on lounger for the rest of the day so private. So if your looking at places to stay this is it I have been coming to Cozumel for forty years and stayed at resorts are condos which cost a a lot more and still needed to rent a car to get around but Sue place is in town a block from ocean and two blocks to grocery store and one block from heart of cozumel central square everything at your fingertips. What was great take you snorkle gear and walk up to beach no cost and swim and snorkle all day and every day.

Coral Island Suites is perfect for rest and relaxation!
Coral Island Suites is perfect for rest and relaxation! It is clean and beautiful. Jasmine is the best host! It’s located in a typical Mexican neighborhood-not noisy at night. There are several restaurants within walking distance. Definitely get a rental car-you’re not close to town and you’ll want to go to the other side of the island. The only disappointment for us was not swimming in the ocean-but we could have gone to one of the nearby beach clubs if we wanted. The pool is fantastic! Plenty of loungers. You’ll love it!!

I would go walking from hotel to diving boat marina every morning at 6:00AM and pet the dogs Shasho and Chapiro at the dive boat marina. been coming here for 40 years..then I go and play basketball with the locals as I have for 40 years...got a massage with Lucy +52 987 100 2744...each day for 26 days...Lucy is the best in the world....then go eat at Sucre Salse or Gordita Burrito....then go drink fresh coconut juice from the juice stand on the street 1/4 mile North of the airport connecting road by the ocean...I've spent a year of my life doing this and thank God that I can live the life I live.....
Kathy’s little piece of paradise couldn’t be better. From the wonderful pool, well looked after dorms to the super clean community kitchen… the vibe here is wonderful. Great part of town away from the hustle and bustle and close to local restaurants and supermarkets. I can for 2 days and stayed for 2 weeks. Kathy provides a welcome respite from partying in Playa and has a top notch place to relax, chill , dive and immerse in the Cozumel culture. Thanks for everything and looking forward to my next stay!
This place is an excellent option if you are looking for the best location vs. price. This is just a room in a guest house, if you are looking for a pool or any amenities this is not the place. But in Cozumel you can enjoy a lot of outdoor activities, the beach, the yatch, the cycling road, snorkel and dive, a lot of restaurants just walking by the downtown. Best location if you are looking best price and outdoor activities.
loved that they had a free snorkel tour and guided you through the water. staff was excellent especially at the restaurant. they kept the beach clean and seaweed free. for the value you get what you pay for. don’t expect a 5 star resort. this is an older property but the location, price, and value is why you should book this place. I would stay here and eat all meals outside the hotel if you can. WiFi in lobby is good.
We stayed in 3 different resorts on our Feb 22’ trip and Iberostar Cozumel was our favorite!
Loved the whole atmosphere. Rain forest walkways. Best food. Wonderful staff and entertainment. Very relaxing vibe. Lovely rooms with private balcony. Lots of space everywhere. The water/ice stations were so appealing after drinking out of plastic bottles everywhere else! I will highly recommend this resort to everyone!
Great location.. we hired a jeep straight from getting off the ferry.. just a 5 minute drive to get to the hotel. Nicely positioned by the sea and excursions stand. Crystal clear water literally across the road.. helpful staff, answered any questions we had and allowed us to check in much earlier than the set time. Would recommend this hotel to friends to stay if they visited cozumel.
Teresa the household is amazing! She was so helpfull kind and thoughtful, she made our stay great with her caring and recomandations.
The room is very nice with a huge comfurtable bed, shower water pressure was suprisingly strong unlike most hotels in mexico!
The location is perfect, very close to the center yet quite and safe.
Next time we visit cozumel we will surely be back here!
Nice place for short or long stay in Cozumel. This small hotel is located in the city center, not far from the ferry port, surrounded by restaurants, bakeries, cafes and moped/car rentals. The room is very cute with a comfortable bathroom, balcony, small kitchenette and fridge. Very comfortable bed. I was pleasantly surprised that the room was cleaned every day :)
Location is very good , it is well situated in the center and next to 7-Eleven and the view of sea where you grab a drink and relax or watching the people on the street . Many shops and restaurants, and there is a good parking lot( Estacionarse siempre en reverse) next to the hospital and an opposite to the small boutique hotel ) if you have a car.
We went to Cozumel for our Anniversary, it was A great experience staying at Melia Hotel. Our room was very spacious, the facilities were very clean, and the staff went above and beyond for our needs. It was truly amazing. The beach is very close to the property which we enjoyed a lot. We even had a Photo shoot at the beach which was fun!
Staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive. Breakfast was better than I expected— choice of eggs/ omelette or pancakes, with toast, fruit, juice, coffee. Great spot/ views of course. The variety of sea life I saw just snorkeling off the side of the hotel was better than I got on our paid snorkeling trip farther off Cozumel!!
The hotel was clean and comfortable and the breakfast service and food were excellent. Views from the rooms and balconies are classic tropical sea views. The days I went out on a boat--one dive and one snorkel trip--the freelance staff (especially the dive instructor Marcus and the snorkel guide George) were excellent.
I loved the drift snorkeling along the beach! The water was crystal clear in front of the resort, fish swam around you. Long walks on the beach were amazing. The water was the most beautiful I’ve been in while in México. It’s very murky on the main land in Mexico!!
The hotel is worth it. When they said "All inclusive" believe it, it's all inclusive. They have a lot of options to eat, schedule of activites and aquatic gear included. They algo have a 24/7 bar and snack restaurant. And you have a large beach with sand in the hotel.
This is truly something you should not miss. Super friendly and helpful there is a unique vibe to this little hotel Boutique. Everything was very comfortable, beautiful, and had the perfect location for us. I would definitely go there again.
Friendly staff! Beautiful resort! Rooms are nice, good size and clean. Food was was good and drinks were excellent. We enjoyed the nightly shows and liked the pool right on the beach. The adult pool was very quiet and nice as well.
Big thank you to bar/restaurant staff, they were very friendly and welcoming!
The hotel area from the hotel B unique also can be used, which is very nice =) It is a great location to watch sunsets.
The only good thing about this location is it has a large pool. No swim up bar though, also on the beach side of the resort (you have to either go by tunnel or across road to get there has no bar)
The hotel has a snorkeling spot right in front. It is also a bit further away from the busy area of Cozumel. However, restaurants and supermarkets are still in walking distance.
The location is awesome, 10 min from Cozumel center. The reefs in front of the hotel is awesome with plenty of fishes. The pool is great and the Wi-Fi is strong.
