This is absolutely my favorite spot to vacation .. the people, the beaches, the weather .. it is just so beautiful. At no time did I ever feel unsafe. We took buses, taxis, and walked places and had no problems at all. Xcaret is a must - the wildlife and natural beauty is breath taking. We ate at our resorts most of the time, but we did go to a couple little taco spots. Everything was good. We visited Juarez Beach, Isla Mujeres, Playa del Carmen, and ventured to some cenotes. The people are absolutely awesome and truly treat you like "familia" if you show them you are interested in them and their culture.

Everything was perfect.
Everything was perfect. During our trip we visited Tulum, Playa del Carmen, Cozumel and Cancun.
The 2nd day we took an amazing snorkeling tour in PC and the 3rd day we went to Xcaret…the most amazing place that has everything. My favorite part…Mexico Spectacular Show 😍😍😍!
The last 2 day in Cancun we stayed in the hotel and its beach and we had a walk to the night club area and restaurants.
We did something different everyday, including where and how we ate. Some days we cooked in our hotels because it’s pretty easy to get groceries or to eat in a local market!
We were really tired the last days but I didn’t want to go back home yet, I still wake up at home wishing I could go out to enjoy that surprisingly spectacular landscape!
Everybody can see there’s never enough time to know everything The Riviera Maya offers!!

Cancun is beautiful.
Cancun is beautiful. The beaches are amazing and the nightlife was so fun. I enjoyed the street food and drinking margaritas. Be selective of where you book your stay. My hotel was unfriendly (Adhara Hacienda) to me. They ruined my trip. Do not book here!

Be aware that some places in Cancun are getting a tourist trap. The city is getting more and more visited and some areas are fully packed and impossible to get though. Chose carefully your stays and beaches to visit (north is always a good option)

I would not book Moon Palace through booking.com again.
I would not book Moon Palace through booking.com again. Using an intermediary meant communication with the hotel was very poor. We were giving a booking number, which the hotel acknowledged, but the app didn't, which meant using the app for pre check in wasnt possible. Payment was taken without notification of how much (it was the full amount) or exactly when. The transfer to the hotel from the airport was a bad start to the holiday. It was difficult to find the bus stop ( local taxi drivers directed us), and the Moon Palace staff were not very helpful or pleasant at the airport. My son and his family on a different flight were told they weren't on the list, and to get a taxi. The hotel later insisted they were a 'no show' and refused to reimburse their cost of the taxi. Turns out despite booking and paying with the hotel directly, they never received an email with any directions. Without these difficulties, this would have been a glowing recommendation, as staff at the Sunrise, and facilities were exceptionally good.

During our 6 days stay, every meal was excellent, especially the food at the steakhouse. The room was always clean and tidy, and the staff I met always smiled happily.
I had a happy and comfortable time. This is a hotel I definitely want to go back to next time. I would recommend it to other travelers.
Our host was very welcoming and friendly. He was flexible about the changes in our arrival time (our flight got rebooked and we arrived in the early ams). He also gave us some tips not only about Cancun, but also the rest of our stay in Mexico.
If you want a calm and quiet place, Cielito Lindo is a great choice, it's in a quiet street ina residential area, far from the hotel district.
There is a mall nearby, so you can do your shopping if you want.
He also made us great breakfast.:)
All in all, strongly recommended!
great hotel, perfect location walking distance to night clubs and night life, or the hotel offered many activities and events. we enjoyed a Halloween party and they really out did themselves, best Halloween party. all inclusive had great advantage like not having to Carry a wallet unless you like to tip staff. In comparison it seemed our hotel was one of the best and newest. only adults you won’t see any kids. food wise agave, and steak house and pool tacos/nachos where good.
Cancun was our first destination, making Los Girasoles our initial accommodation in Mexico. We decided against staying in the hotel zone as it seemed unnecessarily overpriced to us.It was the right choice, Everything was clean and functionally furnished. The location is excellent as restaurants, ATMs, and bus stops are within walking distance. Definitely advisable if you're looking to stay in Downtown Cancun. They also offer breakfast of you want and a water refill :).
this was one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in. From the moment we arrived, the receptionist, staff and everyone we met were so helpful and friendly. We had an amazing room, with all amenities we needed and even given a late check out free of charge. I would recommend everyone to book here if staying in cancun if you want a quiet hotel, close to shopping and close to the airport for those catching flights
I like the style and set up. Ability to meet many different people, in a safe manner as well. I stayed in a single room and it was very spacious, comfortable, and close to a lot of thing. They also offer a lot of amazing adventures (extra payment required) around Cancun and Mexico. The staff was amazing and super nice. Quick response to request. Highly recommend staying here if you visit the Hotel Zone in Cancun.
There are very few hotels you go to and are blown away by the service. They are exceptional. Couldn't do enough and always smiling and very willing to help. The beach directly out the back is brilliant, perfect for a nice walk along (go away from Cancun not towards it). Nice coffee from the Cafe that was included in the all inclusive. The drinks are great and pretty generous with the measures also.
The hotel shuttle showed up at the airport within 15 minutes of our call to them. The rooms are spacious and very clean. This is the sixth time we have stayed here. We usually arrive late in the afternoon and instead of spending $300 for a night at an all inclusive, we are able to get a good nights sleep and arrive at the resort early the next morning and enjoy the whole day.
The location was perfect for a one night stay in Cancun in between flights. The ADO bus comes directly from the airport to the bus terminal a 5 minute walk from the hotel. So no need to pay for a taxi. There are also several great restaurants a few minutes from the hotel. I also enjoyed chilling by the pool after check out before my flight (no one else was there).
If you have an afternoon arrival at the airport and are traveling Yucatán this hotel is a great venue to stay overnight and start your holiday the next day rested and ready. Good beds, friendly staff, safe parking area and just outside of Cancun but only 6km from the airport. you don’t hear the airplanes at all by the way.
Staff is extrmely friendly. The food was good, bartenders very, very fast and followed any specifics on your drinks. Activities along the days are very good both for family and friends. I've been on 4 all inclusive hotels in cancun (including Hilton and Hardrock) and this one was much better in every aspect.
The all inclusive was all worth it. I like that the hotel in itself was a vacation as whole. They have different activities to entertain you within the hotel vicinity. The staff were friendly. The food was great and most of all the alcoholic drinks were extra good.
The hotel was really close to the airport which was why we chose this. Would definitely not stay here if I wanted to visit Cancun for more than 1 night though. The room was big and nice bed and clean bathroom, didn't use the kitchen but it seemed nice!
The location is great, especially for those who are gonna travel by land the next morning and planning to stay near the airport for a night. Price for the food is expected as its not an all inclusive hotel.
We stayed in the Altitude Tower and it was beautiful! I don’t think I’d do the all inclusive again because the food was just ok… but we will definitely be back here for our next trip to Cancun
we flew into Cancun then the next day we was flying to a new destination and this hotel was a perfect hotel for airport stays as the airport was a 3 min walk and breakfast was amazing
really nice modern hotel in Cancun. we were going to Cancun for our final evening in Mexico from Tulum so really didn’t want a party spot & this was perfect. away from the hotel strip
