room was cute, view fantastic, breakfast lovely (best Roti we had in the whole of Sri Lanka), Staff were lovely. However, there is a bar right next to the property which plays REALLY loud music, until 2/3 am, even if it is empty. it's a real shame, as the owners of the property can't do anything about it, but to be honest it totally ruined our sleep and therefore our stay. If we come back we will stay at the sister property up the hill, and leave this one for the younger crowd!

Super friendly owner took my friend and I in like we were his children. We offered him some help with short scooter rides, when we left he eventually invited us to his home in Dondra for a goodbye beer. We miss you!!

Modern and new building, with large rooms (high ceilings), beautiful rooftop terrace. Hotel has easy access to main beach and to good restaurants like MOND or smoke and bitters. We really liked the breakfast options! One of the best hotels we stayed in over 3 weeks traveling in Sri Lanka, especially considering value for money.

This is a new building where everything is new and clean. This apartment is nice for longer stays since it has a usable kitchen.
For me it was very important that the bathroom was clean, the AC and fan were working and that there was enough sunlight coming inside the room.
Plus the owner was at our complete disposal, he and his son were very kind and provided us a motorbike and a laundry service.
We came here to surf and Hiriketiya has very nice waves and a lot of surf rentals where you can get your surf boards!
I would recommend this place, enjoy!

Charith & Nishadi are the most amazing hosts. I came for three nights and stayed nineteen! A decent little righthand break was in easy walking distance and Hiriketiya just five minutes away on my scooter. The smaller room, which I had, had a view out to the break and received a cool (ish) sea breeze. I'll definitely be returning 😊

Our stay at Dickwella Resort and Spa was the highlight of our visit to the south of Sri Lanka. The location, food, staff, and service were above and beyond our expectations. We made the choice of having breakfast and dinner at the restaurant and I would highly recommend anyone else to do the same. The food is some of the best anywhere in Sri Lanka, especially the fish made in various ways. The stay was made extra special by the attentive and friendly staff and they took every effort to provide us with the best service. Big thanks goes out to all the staff in the reception, restaurant, pool, housekeeping, and maintenance. We look forward to our next stay with you.

I would avoid Chrystal Resort Dickwella at all costs.
I would avoid Chrystal Resort Dickwella at all costs. Venture to any other hotels in the region and skip this hotel. Management was completely unsupportive to any of our needs - we showed up after a long flight to find out our rooms were not available at all and were told to go find another hotel.

Beautiful beach right on the shore of the Indian Ocean, which is always warm as five o'clock tea. Big swing, and a bar on the beach... all you need here is time. Time to relax, time to forget the road trip here, to forget that you have to go back to daily chores, etc. Just swim, sun bathe, sip, repeat!

Dickwella Beach is quite deserted.
Dickwella Beach is quite deserted. There aren't that many places along the beach but made for a nice walk. Hiriketiya Beach however is lovely and there are plenty of places to sit and relax. The restaurants in close proximity to the beach are nice. Especially Hiriketiya Seafood which served the best food we had in Sri Lanka.

I did not have a young family my youngest daughter 25 you could eat at any restaurant all good for older people Tuk tuk easy around local and owner of hotel sorted taxi if going further all very easy and not expensive the safari was the high light for us getting very close to elephants also big Buddha was one off my high lights and short tuk tuk ride from Dickwella Agreat place for mature easy going no high end facilities stunning weather take jungle deet mossi very small and quite only come out 6.30 to 7.30 8pm they seem to like European bodies
Stunning location right on Dikwella beach which is absolutely beautiful. It has a very nice and laidback vibe and the owners, staff (and their dogs!:)) are all super nice and easy to talk to, offering good suggestions on activities and restaurants around. Easy walking distance (15-20min with part of it being along the beach), to bars, restaurants and Hiriketiya which is much busier and filled with surfing tourists. We much preferred staying at the more secluded Dikwella beach and would totally recommend.
Really nice family, the rooms were nice and well equipped. We had one room at the back and one at the front on the first floor. The back room stayed much cooler. But with AC and a fan both rooms were comfortable. Good location to reach the two nice beaches dickwella and hirikedia. We had breakfast a couple of times at the hotel and it is good to instruct them on your wishes, as otherwise you will get too much. They were very helpful on any questions or wishes.. Overall great value for money.
excellent facilities and great value for money. room is clean、Everything is wonderful.Nice Resort & very secure and trustworthy.Room is large , food very delicious.
we will stay at this hotel when we come to Sri Lanka. The reason is that it is very secure and trustworthy. The hotel manager helped me with a lot of things. To get directions,we love the Sri Lankan breakfast menu. amazing pool & beach. hotel airport shuttle bus 、It's really cheap 、we will come back soon.
Malinda is a beautiful host and took us to a lovely point to see the sunset. The hostel is 5 mins walk from dikwella and 5 mins walk from hiriketiya beach, but still nice and peaceful. The beds were comfy and everyone had a fan which was lovely. They have a washing machine you can use for 500rupee and a kitchen if you’d like to prepare your own food. We loved this hostel!
The staff are all wonderful, friendly, and very helpful. The chef and breakfast was amazing! Located right on Dickwella beach and Hiriketiya beach is a short walk away. Nice places to eat close by, Smoke & Bitters is a must visit. Wifi was nice and fast in the common areas and the outside seating was a great place to watch monkeys play in the trees above!
Fantastic hosts in a clean house, very well located in Dikwella. Close to all attractions in Dikwella/Hiriketiya.
Delicious breakfast, every plate in large quantity.
The hosts are very welcoming and available for any request. Everyone should stop at this house on their trip to Sri Lanka.
Thank you for your hospitality!!
UTMT was definitely our highlight after a round-tour.
It‘s a magic place and we loved the colourful Hotel from the first moment.
The staff is outstanding and we had a romantic candle light dinner. The breakfast is a great European/sri Lankan mix.
the treatments in the Spa are very professional.
we definitely coming back soon
Helena Hostel is located super good! It takes you only one minute to the main road to get some food (for local price). 5 minutes to the Dickwella beach and around 7 minutes to Hiriketiya beach.
The family which runs the hostel is super nice and helpful! After 10 days it felt a bit like home :-)
One of the rare places in Sri Lanka that is exactly like in pictures! The room and the bathroom were the biggest I have seen in this country and it was nice and modern. I stayed there one day though, but I like it. It's very close to the beach, it's very quiet at night. I'd recommend it.
The family was very kind and helpfull. Very clean and modern room with air conditioning. Very good location, you can walk to the Hiriketiya beach and nice restaurants. We also had a Sri lanka breakfast by family. Come and try this beatiful, clean and super nice hotel!
Amazing tree house with garden and see view. The location is great, hiriketiya and dikwella beach are in walking distance and there are many nice restaurants around. The staff is super friendly and helps you with all issues or concerns you might have in minutes.
The hotel is brand new. Very cozy, lovely staff, nice pool, close to the beach and close to cool restaurants and bars (walking distance).
It’s in the middle of the nature. Monkeys woke us up some mornings from the room balcony.
Very good breakfast!
Friendly staff, great location between Dickwella and Hiriketiya beaches. Room was very clean and very spacious, it was good to have a table and chairs in the room. Communal fridge was very handy. Great laundry service at a small extra charge.
A walk away from both Hiriketiya and Dikwella beach, owners that took care of everything and have been versatile to my needs and a quiet private room with everything needed such as wifi and private veranda. Highly recommended.
It was a short and easy walk from a bus stop. And the pricing was wonderful for a private room! Easy to walk to either beach, and close by to some nice restaurants and hotels nearby for drinks and meals.
