Basseterre itself is not pretty at all. There is trash all over and it is very rundown.
The beach areas such as Carambola, Shipwreck beach, Reggae beach area, Nevis and Hyatt/Marriott properties are lovely but require a car or taxi to visit. I visited 7 years ago and had a much different experience. I hope they can get the trash issue under control.

My flight was early to St Kitts. The staff accommodated me with an early check in!!! This was beautiful! The staff was very friendly and helpful! Room is a SUPER BONUS!!! Large... clean... I did not need to leave the area as the hotel offered everything on site!! Cheap prices at the restaurant and the food was so delicious!!!
perfect for one or two people. Lovely property to stay at, very comfortable and FaceTimes were good. Swimming pool was nice to have to cool off and relax around. Timothy beach is just a short walk away. ‘The Strip’ and ‘The Retreat’ are nearby food eating out with shops and other options near the Marriott Hotel. The host was also very nice
I liked almost everything about my stay. The staff was polite and friendly throughout, always being there to assist my wife and I with whatever was needed. The hotel facilities such as the pool and gym were decently equipped and the environment overall was always pristine and clean. I personally loved the design aesthetic throughout.
We stayed one night in between flights. The hotel is pretty new. They have a great gym and the rooms were very comfortable. The bedding was very nice as well. Felt very safe throughout our stay. We had dinner and breakfast and both were very good. Pool and view is very nice.
Basically a family business with very surnamed owners. They arranged for us everything we could think of, including renting a car (the car rental representative came directly to the hotel). Beautiful view, clean, new equipment, quiet in the evening and at night.
Property is quiet and overlooks a dolphin enclosure. Staff is friendly. This is a basic hotel. It is remote. To go anywhere you need a taxi or rent a car. Best use is if you are a budget traveller or just need a place for the night.
Overall, the hotel is satisfactory for accommodation purposes and its location affords a quiet and seclusive surroundings. However with the unavailability of all meals, it can be difficult to get anything to eat after 9pm.
The staff (and everyone on St Kitts & Nevis) were very pleasant, the room was clean, the pool was nice, and the view of the Caribbean was great. 3 stars is generous for this hotel in my opinion.
The property is clean and the rooms are nice. The property is far away from anything and has no beach. The pool is nice, but small. If the hotel is busy, the pool would be too small.
Do not be deceived by the view of the hotel. There is no access to the beach and the sea is not swimmable here anyway. The outside area around the pool is in fact small.
The room and bathroom was very nice and comfortable.
The atmosphere of the hotel is excellent.
