Lovely apartment in a beautiful location. From the terrace there is a view of the sea and the surrounding greenery. The equipment is new and fully adequate. The only thing my wife was missing was a clothes hanger :-). The place is very quiet and the neighbors are all friendly. The beach is beautiful and not crowded. There is a very good restaurant on the beach.

We've been to St.
We've been to St. Martin several times and always found it to be a great escape. It's easy to get around, there are tons of beautiful public beaches, and lots of nightlife options. And if you're game to explore, day trips to Anguilla, Saba and St. Barts are available.

we have vacationed in SXM for 18 years-due to the problems of recovery after the hurricane we may need to find another paradise for awhile-recovery has been very slow-it's now almost 3 years after the storm and not much has changed -sadly-the islands only industry is tourism-they need to step up or they will loose visiters!

This was our first visit since Irma.
This was our first visit since Irma. We were overjoyed with our renovated 2BR 2 Bath condo at the Simpson Bay Resort and we were greeted warmly and politely by everyone that we came in contact with during our 2 week stay. We cooked most of our meals in the full kitchen of our condo, doing our shopping at the Carrefour supermarket in Philipsburg. Remember to bring your coupon to get 5% off!
Our big activity was a 3 night stay on the island of Saba! We took the Ferry thru Aqua Mania and it was great! Remember to take your drugs the nite before! Saba was an experience that I will never forget!
We drove all around St Martin (both sides) to check out the places that we used to frequent.
To be blunt- St Martin is still a long way from recovery. Simpson Bay was active with many shops open. Maho looked to be recovering nicely with the Casino doing reasonably well. I lost my limit within 1 hour and skipped out of there before serious damage was done to my budget.
Grand Case was a mess! Marigot was a little better. The road to Orient Beach was upsetting and without any donkeys! The road to Oyster Bay was in better shape, but the Marina was gone! I mean gone, as in no longer there! I was too distressed at the sight of all the rubble along the road to enjoy the beaches at Galion and Dawn and the weather turned too stormy to fly or sail, so we cut our road trip short.
I was happy to infuse a little income into their economy and I hope to return soon.. So should you! They need us!
Nicely furnished, and extremely well maintained very private rooms and suites with porches overlooking the bay, this hotel is a great choice, especially for travelers who are already familiar with the island and are looking for something further away from casinos and crowds. Its location also offers a nice selection of some of the best places we've ever eaten on the island, and my wife and I have been coming to St. Martin for 30 years. A lovely spot to stay, looked after by very caring hosts.
The entire property is so tastefully designed and well-maintained. Owner Marion, her family, and team were warm and helpful the entire stay, and I still dream about breakfast by the pool with those fresh French pastries and fruit smoothies. The hotel is secluded and located in a quiet part of the island, and we loved being able to swim/kayak out to Îlet Pinel right next to the bay: beautiful beach with a polite crowd and beachside bar. What more could you ask for? I will definitely be back.
Lovely room with plenty of space for two for the week. Excellent attentive staff. 10 minute walk to Orient Bay beaches, 10 minute drive to the best little town with the best food on the planet, Grand Case. If you're interested in the "real" St. Martin and willing to be exploratory and avoid the crowds and fancy resorts, and hit the best beaches in the Caribbean this is the place to stay. Rent a car, take the road less traveled and spend a week at Les Galets. We will be back soon.
The studio is excellent! Beautiful location right on the private beach, fully equipped with everything needed, clean and perfect for 2 people. Wifi worked well. Lots of great restaurants abd small grocery within walking distance. Bruno and Barbara were great with communication, even offered to use the shower at another rental when the whole town was out of the water for 24 hrs, which we learned happens on St.Maarten.
In this charming boutique hotel you have everything you need! It has an excellent location: far enough from the boom box of Captain Jack’s beach bar yet close to all the restaurants, you get a petit breakfast every morning which gets you easily to lunch, perfect working AC & good pressure with nice hot water and the private patio Is such a nice add on to enjoy your sun downer.
We had such a wonderful stay with Remy and Yasmine at the Carambola Residence. The apartment had everything we needed and had such a great vibe. It felt very welcoming and the terrace was just amazing. Remy was very helpful in providing information and the checkin/checkout process was very smooth. Would recommend everyone to stay here when going to Saint Martin!
We loved the layout, the amenities and sheik feeling of home and vacation simultaneously.
The location is central to Marigot, parts of the French and Dutch sides of the island. The photos on the site were accurate and the property manager was very helpful and we didn't want for anything. Looking forward to returning!!
Holy smokes this place is AMAZING! Will definitely be back and will stay here again. Sure, there is no pool/hot tub but WHO CARES YOU'RE LITERALLY ON THE BEACH W/ THE BEST SUNSET VIEWS. Honestly, unless you want to stay on the Dutch side, we have no reason to stay anywhere else. 10*
A truly great hotel in a beautiful setting. Florian and his team made us feel so welcome and were very helpful with any requests. The restaurant downstairs was one of the best meals we had in St Martin. The room was very clean and spacious. We’ll definitely be back.
Adorable modern boutique hotel close to Grand Case and Anse Marcel beach but need car. Amazing freshly baked croissants and freshly squeezed juices. Would highly recommend. We had a gorgeous terrace. Beautiful view from pool and sitting area. Host is fantastic
Comfort of the room, location, pool, breakfast, private outdoor space, friendly hosts, proximity to restaurants, free parking, etc. - would love to come back and stay at the JWILAVI hotel and would definitely recommend to others to stay here.
Lovely and cozy appartment, great location. Nice area with shops and a few restaurants. Beach is close by within walking distance. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back if we visit Saint Martin again
Great boutique hotel, minutes from grand case. Everyone there was friendly and helpful, particularly the manager (?) Restaurant superb, worth the prices. Included breakfast was fantastic. Place was spotless.
Outstanding friendliness and helpfulness of staff; comfortable room and bed; breakfast was just amazing and dinner one of the best meals we have ever eaten. Cannot recommend this hotel enough.
A BEAUTIFUL designed boutique hotel!
Everything was right. The breakfast was delicious and extensive, fresh juice every day, delicious croissants and a la cart items.
Highly recommended!
This hotel was clean and beautiful. The host was very friendly, responsive and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. We stayed for two nights but I wish we had stayed longer!
