Took the traditional room, comfortable and cozy for a couple. Onsen is very hygenic, however the men's onsen does not have a great view of Mt. Fuji. Dinner was buffet style and decent.

We chose the superior room which is one of the private room options, which was very spacious with a small balcony a really good set-up in terms of bed etc. The lounge area, food, drinks and service were exceptional and it’s a five minute walk to the most iconic view of Hakone. Absolutely incredible staff from the moment of arrival to the moment of departure. In particular, Yuuta was so helpful, attentive, and downright elegant. An EXCEPTIONAL breakfast and dinner were included with our room, prepared as Japanese interpretation of multi-course French cuisine. The view from the dining area was stunning. Absolutely wonderful. I believe all rooms include a private outdoor onsen (hot spring bath) where you can soak for hours while enjoying nature.
