Ideally located in the Taito district of Tokyo, KOKO HOTEL Residence Asakusa Kappabashi is set 200 metres from Kinryu Park, 400 metres from Sogenji Temple and 400 metres from Akiba Shrine. The room I reserved was very spacious and came with a well equipped kitchen and 2 different areas to sit/eat which was great for a longer stay. It is rare to find that much space in Tokyo at an affordable price. Everything was perfect and I really enjoyed discovering the little local restaurants and cafe nearby.

Located in the Sumida Ward district in Tokyo, MIMARU Tokyo KINSHICHO offers 4-star rooms with free WiFi. We booked the large family room for our family of five: two parents and children aged 9, 7, and 3. The room was spacious and had a very pleasant dining/kitchen area, where we started our days with a meal together, and where we sat down in the evenings before going to bed. The bathroom was very clean and the kids loved taking baths in the Japanese-style bathtub. If you travel with children you'll know that kids can't eat out 3 times a day, and they need some time to decompress in private, away from the hustle and bustle of tourist activities. The spacious room really helped us in this regard. MIMARU is a great place to stay when visiting Tokyo -- the Kinshicho JR station is a 2-minute walk from the hotel, and there are many restaurants and shops in the vicinity (including a 24/7 SEIYU supermarket). The staff were super helpful and very accommodating.

The harbour and Ōsanbashi pier were great, and the flower displays were beautiful. Very interesting architecture related to the presence of Europeans when rebuilding after the Kanto earthquake.
Kamakura is the best distillation of old and new Japan in the Kanto area, and full of great vibes. Foodies will love it, there are plenty of eclectic shops to check out, and the cultural/historical attractions are many and worthwhile. This is a town for strolling and exploring, and it has several beaches as well.
You must eat Gyouza, the most common Japanese dumpling. It shouldn't be too hard to find since there's a Gyouza place literally on every block. Not a place to visit for first-timers in Japan, but if you have the time and love Onsen or strawberries, it's a great place to visit around Kanto area.
I only had a day in Nikko as I was taking advantage of the 3-day JR Tokyo Wide Pass which allows you to travel in the Kanto region plus use certain Shinkansen tracks for 10,000 yen. I did go to Toshogu Shrine which is famous for the picture of the 3 monkeys and the sleeping cat. It is definitely worth a visit. Tickets cost around 1,300 yen if I remember correctly. To get the most of of Nikko I think a 2 day stay would be ideal, then you can travel out to the Lake Chuzenji.
In downtown(R&D and schools area) Tsukuba, streets and buildings look like ones of USA cities. Actually, 6 lanes streets or a big facility per a quatre mile lot can not be seen any other cities in Japan. Thus, you can transport yourself by your own car easily, also, there are many parking lots whose fares are reasonable. To Tsukuba, from Tokyo(Akihabara, electric avenue), TX: Tsukuba Express train is uncoperablly useful with its high speed, frequent services, low price and convenient location of stations both in Tokyo and Tsukuba. Tsukuba-san and Tsukuba Shrine nearby, are famous sightseeing spots to visit, where you can find good old Japanese tourism culture as well as conventional mountaneous religeon and grand view of Kanto plain all over.
