View was fantastic with a huge terrace where you can go out for a smoke if you wish. Breakfast was good and the owners of the hotel were really helpful and giving advice where to go and what to look out for as attractions. Room was cleaned every day.

A very very beautiful hotel with a million dollar view on the lake. Huge terraces with big stone vases and sunbeds. Very helpful and polite staff. The restaurant has a Michelin star, is one of the best I have ever visited and not expensive. Just 4 km from Lecco, they are building a new road for those who want to walk there on foot.

The hotel rooms were clean and had enough space if you are planning to stay in only for the night. We had a nice breakfast, but I can imagine that some people would prefer a bigger variety of vegetables/ fruits. We personally did not mind many cookies and cakes served for breakfast and enjoyed it! The parking lot in front of the hotel is quite spacious, so we did not have a problem to find a spot. It is a pet friendly hotel and all the staff was kind even though we had some issues with Booking.
we loved our stay at Wirnica. Garlate itself is a small town on the less busy leg of the lake. the hotel is a beautiful old villa with a large grounds and pool. the room was super comfortable and spacious.
Barbara, Channa and the staff were unbelievably helpful, helped us to organise trips and even picking us up from Lecco when we couldn’t get a taxi!
Hotel is nice, bright and clean. Rooms are comfy, clean, there is a cattle with coffee and tea. Breakfast is buffet style, where you can chose between sweet or "salty" food, eggs are prepared by order. There is not plenty/excess of food, but a lot of choice. A'la carte dinner in the restaurant is also very delicious.
Friendly staff, nice pool by the lake next door (not part of the hotel) . The steak in the restaurant was very nice and a lot. If you have a car , nice base to visit places in the surroundings.airco ( it was 37 degrees c outside)
Absolutely fantastic castle with an amazing host. Just perfect for a short stay! Feel like at home, lady owner of that hotel keeps incredible history of her family in that home and we will very cozy!
