About 15-20 minutes by walk from the train station with bus option closer. Beautiful view on the mountains, Como Lake and this place is really famous because of the novel "The Betrothed" by Alessandro Manzoni.

We arrived in the city during the Christmas market. We loved the romantic atmosphere around the harbour with the sun setting and the historic city centre with its beautiful Christmas decorations and great selection of romantic restaurants. Amazing Italian breakfast with coffee and brioche standing up.

I watched videos of what to do in Lecco prior to my visit. They really helped me to see and do interesting things. The place I selected to stay was right in the historic section which made that part easy, to see the historic part. That is also near the beautiful walkway along the lake. The trees give you shade and the walkway goes on and on. My partner attended a conference at the Polytechnic so he wasn't free to do things. It made no difference. I felt safe in Lecco and I want to return for another visit.

The check in process was quick and easy, the dorm was warm and comfortable. A very important feature was secure parking for my motorcycle as I was touring the area. The onsite restaurant was good value and good quality with friendly service

It is a good place to access to Bellagio by ferry directly...
It is a good place to access to Bellagio by ferry directly from Lecco. Also it is near Milan using 25 minutes train. There are some beaches nearby lecco. Also the nights near center and port is always busy with street foods and live concert with DJ which people were dancing on port. I loved the night life which was lively. There is a very nice gellateria with name Toldo which has amazing gelatos I recommend everyone. There is an amazing walking road from lecco towards a beautiful beach which is so beautiful one side mountain and one side lake, the name of walking road is “lungolario piave”. I suggest rent a bike and ride alongside this road.

Paré (where hotel is) is opposite Lecco across Lake Como...
Paré (where hotel is) is opposite Lecco across Lake Como...maybe 2 miles. Lecco had relatively few "tourist attractions", but that was to my liking. This location, Paré/Valmadrere, Malgrate, and Lecco is very relaxing with a constant breeze + lovely view (mountains + lake). I would happily move there, and/or stay for as long as I could afford. If you're into lake activities like boating, fishing, wind-surfing, or mountain activities like hiking, you could probably enjoy it even more. Cell service is only 4G, with long latency, but wifi service was consistently about 300Mbps with reasonable latency (100ms to US streaming providers over VPN). Very relaxing.
One last note: a lot of the local fare was seafood-oriented. That's not to say that you could not get pizza or lasagna...just menus were probably 70% tied to seafood.

Lecco is a very nice place to visit.
Lecco is a very nice place to visit. Good restaurants, nice shops and nice walks around the lake. The boat trips to Bellagio, Menaggio and Ravenna should not be missed. You can go to these places also by short trips by train.

This was the cleanest and most welcoming accommodation that I have been in Italy!
Miss Chiara was so nice, pleasant and answered all my questions and needs.
I felt so good and relaxed so well.
There is rule of taking your shoes off and leave them outside, which is great considering hygiene and makes you feel like home.
The accommodation was quiet and peaceful.
Clean and warm.
Location is also great.
I will recommend it to people who want to have a quiet and pleasant rest in a clean and cozy accommodation.
Very nice host, helpful and smiling. He answered all our questions and we were also able to leave our luggage after we checked out. In the morning we got fresh fruit, delicious free coffee 24h was available. The room as described, with a large terrace, very clean, air conditioning worked flawlessly (which is important during the current hot weather). There is the owner's restaurant downstairs, very good food with affordable prices, with friendly staff. We loved it, one of the nicer stays in Italy.

The hostess responded to all our messages and requests, our stay was comfortable and relaxing.
The train station is not far away, from where you can go to Varenna and from there start exploring Lake Como. But also the town of Lecco itself is Incredibly beautiful, you will not regret staying here. After the crazy days in Varenna and Bellagio it was nice to come back to our quiet town, grab a Pizza from the next window from our house, and head home to rest.
Parking is a problem everywhere. Be prepared to find parking although tge staff were very helpful with this. There a brand new spa area worth a visit why there. Owner is very hands on and accommodating. Good access point to drive other places. Ferry is very near to visitother towns and not take a car. It is quite a small room but acceptable size for italy. Loved balcony access and view.
Very nice and clean apartment, ideal for couples. Furniture is brand new, everything smells like new. Location is in center, everything is near. And Lecco is the best option if you want to visit around lake Como. The owner is the best! She is so nice, kind and ready to help.
