Everything! From the initial contact with Luca via text and email until we finally bade goodbye this afternoon he was an amazing host! Nothing was too much trouble for him and he went out of his way to assist us at every move! Even when Italy had a train strike, he organised much needed transport with the lovely Domenico both ways to Rome in a private luxury car, playing beautiful music and pointing out highlights as we drove! Outstanding in every way!

The main thing for me was proximity to the ferry terminal. However I found a lovely clean old style hotel with fantastic staff (also with a 24h front desk) and great decor and feeling. LOVED IT!!

I would strongly recommend that anyone joining or leaving a cruise at this port to add a couple of days pre or post to experience Italy without hordes of tourists, Civitavecchia offers history and just what everyday living is like. However, be warned when taking a taxi, try to agree on a price up front, and beware of the black Mercedes vans.

We stayed in Civitavecchia because our cruise was leaving from there the following morning. Simona Was an excellent Hostess, The bed was very comfortable and breakfast was delicious. She booked us transportation to the cruise Port And was very accommodating. I accidentally left my medication in the refrigerator. She offered to bring it to me on the ship, but I chose to have her keep it until we returned. She was gracious enough to meet us at the train station and added a cold pack to keep cold on our journey to Sorrento. I would definitely recommend this B&B in Civitavecchia!

Beautiful and quiet town.
Beautiful and quiet town. Everything within walking distance. Favorite place for quick bite was Mastro Titta Pizza within two blocks of Airbnb.
I would recommend staying longer as there is much to do it Civitavecchia. We missed walking along the Harbor, visiting Fort Michaelangelo, and the beaches.
We read about direct Shuttles to the Airport, none were available the day we left because no cruise ships were arriving in Port. Car Service was expensive. We ended up taking the Train, which was not as convenient but not bad at all and at a fraction of the cost!

Of note: there was No Kleenex, NO WiFi password, no shampoo or soap for shower and NOI place in the shower to put such except on the floor, NOT enough signage to locate the building, room, door. NO USB ports, there was an ice bucket, but NO ice, NO towel racks or shelves in the bathroom, NO air conditioning.
Hotel location was great, in heart of city, walking distance to restaurants, shops and farmers market.
Rooms are somewhat small, but super clean and great for a couple nights stay.
The host on duty that day was Anna and she was engaging and very friendly. She not only made us a welcome drink and snack during check-in but also a great breakfast in the morning.
It is a small 10 room hotel that that provides value for the money in a great location.
This is a very cosy Airbnb. Close to the Civitavecchia port, restaurants, cafes, and shops. The host was brilliant in letting my family and I in to leave our luggage. He explained the proximity & location of everything around the accommodation.
Everything was super clean and comfortable. I loved the view from our room and hearing the locals chatter downstairs, really gave a true Italian vibe.
We'll definitely be returning.
Thank you.
Ideal for a short stay. Location fabulous - less than five minute walk to Civitavecchia train station which is great when travelling into Rome each day. If you're staying here due to a cruise holiday and need a room close to the port for a night or two, you won't go far wrong with this one as it does the job. Rooms are spacious and clean, good TV access and room cleaned daily. Breakfast was very nice and reasonably priced.
The rooms are spacious and clean. Our rooms were on the first floor, so we easily got around. The lady in the front is very friendly, when we checked out she gave us an Italy magnet.
The suite has a sauna and the shower is next to the bed. You have to be careful when taking a shower. There is also snacks, fridge, tea kettle, and the suite had a bottle of wine.
Gallery Suite is my go to place when in Civitavecchia. Large, clean, modern rooms with comfy beds. Always great experiences with the Team, very quick to respond to any query. Bar, shop, other business all close by - the promenade is reachable in couple minutes walk, have always found a parking spot close by. Great place to stay.
It was right on the sea front and only a short journey to Rome. This meant that we could have both a relaxing holiday and also do some sightseeing. The room was comfortable with all the facilities that we would need. The host was a lovely lady who could not have done enough for us! Thankyou so much for the best holiday!
The location is perfect if you are going on cruise out of Italy. everything in this hotel was brand new it was just remodeled the owner was great you can walk to the port from this location but if you have quite a bit of luggage the owner will call and have a cab pick you up at the door I highly recommend this hotel
This was our first time staying in a place that is not a hotel. We had a wonderful experience. The host was wonderful and very helpful. The house is very close to the port shuttle. In less than 5 min walk, we got to the big shuttle station. It’s very convenient. We highly recommend this place.
Staff was very attentive and pleasant and accommodating. Although we departed too early for breakfast this stay, we have had the breakfast on a previous stay and it was very convenient and a good value. Hotel is a perfect location for a before and after stay when boarding a cruise ship.
Nice large Room was Comfortable. I was able to drop off Luggage before official Check In time. Simon was very nice. Civitavecchia was nice quiet location. Close to cruise port. Had much to offer. Location was within easy walk to Train Station altho the train ride to Rome was long.
Location is fantastic for cruise travelers. Hotel is very well located. Beds were hard and very small pillows. In our room the wifi reception was very weak, while outside the room the wifi was strong. The staff is very nice. We will stay in this hotel again when we come to Civitavecchia
Very good place to stay. The room was clean and close to the center but in calm area. We loved the garden and our dog can use it without problem. The owner was also kind. Best dog friendly place where we stay ever. Rome just 1 hour from there by car and Toscana region close too.
Facility is very well located and appointed. Erwin is very gracious and accommodating. We’d considered staying in Rome but decided to try Civitavecchia. We were pleased with our choice. Facility is very clean, properly appointed. Geographically convenient for our needs.
it was one of our best stays. the hotel is great, comfortable and clean. The people are amazingly friendly and welcoming. it’s filled with good spirit that makes you the stay really enjoyable.
Luca was so pleasant and helpful nothing was too much trouble .Tony our driver was on time kept great communications
We would highly recommend this hotel to everyone
Very clean and the staff was so welcoming. They gave us so much guidance on what to do locally knowing that it was our first time in Italy. Very attentive.
