Arya Nivas Trivandrum – Worst experience ever
I was on a family (four adults, including my aged mother, and two kids of 4 years and eight months old) trip to Trivandrum. The accommodation at Arya Nivas was confirmed through booking.com for a three-bedded room and another 2 bedded one. The arrival time was mentioned as 21:00-22:00 hrs. As informed, we reached the property by 21:30. Unfortunately, the rooms were provided on two different floors, 3rd and 5th. Still, considering the late hours, we decided to accept it and collect the keys. After check-in, we kept our luggage in one of the rooms; the room was too small, and there was no additional bed there. As the restaurant's time was only 22:30, we decided to have dinner before checking the second room. After dinner, we checked the second room. To our surprise, both rooms were of the same category, and no additional bed was provided in either of these rooms. Moreover, there was not enough space to accommodate another bed.

We were in the city to visit family so it was not chosen as a tourist destination. The roads are chaotic and dangerous. We didn’t walk and only took taxis or tuk tuks. New pipes are being laid so the roads are impassable in a lot of areas adding to the general mayhem. As the family are Indian and locals we only went to eat at places they frequent and therefore the food was fabulous. Shopping was an experience, everywhere was full of people but again we were with family and our lack of the language was not a problem and we were never over charged or taken advantage of. Two weeks of having a true Indian living experience was great and I enjoyed every minute. Clearly Trivandrum is upgrading its city experience but they really need to sort the rubbish that is everywhere and a health hazard. Dog and get welfare needs looking at.

the city is very clean,Temple premises very clean. no garbage thrown on road sides. people specially three wheeler drivers are helpful. communication was no problem. but the taxidrivers taking you for outstation trips are stubborn about their rates and make no adjustment in case we wish to deviate a little and pick up things on the way.And taxi charges are exorbitant which come around 40 to 50 rupees per kilometer for even a small sedan. Where as in other states the taxi price is 14/15 rupees per kilometer. On hot afternoon also if we request the taxi driver for some favour they show cold shoulder.

TVM being the capital has much to offer with regards to historic sites, temples and even education institutions.
We got lucky to discover an on-going Art Exhibition at the Government Arts College next to the Public Library. The Raja Ravi Varma Art collection next to the Zoo in the Napier Museum compound is awesome!

It's a good city, I liked it very much. Locals are very friendly. But it's very humid and sticky. If you are Walker like me then it takes out lot of sweat and makes you tired. Temple visit in the morning was very satisfying..nice arrengement and they don't rush you away. May be it was off season. Overall it's a good place to stay for short break.
Great Hotel, location is wonderful, accessible very easily. Staff are all very nice and eager to help. Rooms are extremely clean, spacious and comfy. And the best part is they do not skimp on facilities. Easily one of the best hotels in Trivandrum. Breakfast spread is amazing and dining space is very spacious. Dinner was very good and could be one the best spreads in Trivandrum.
The staff was courteous, hard-working and prompt...trying to address maintenance issues constantly. I felt sorry for them...the hotel doesn't match their work ethic (needs renovation desperately).
The location is excellent.
The linens and bathrooms are clean.
The AC is very efficient.
They give you plenty of drinking water in glass bottles which is nicer than plastic.
Staff were amazing and super friendly. As it was my first time in Kerala they really helped with my planning of local activities. Would definitely stay here again next time I visit from Australia. Great location close to beaches and train station. Always lots of taxis nearby to get around the city of Trivandrum.
The best first stop in Trivandrum! Very close to international airport, car pick if you want, spacious rooms, stunning swimming pool, delicious coffee and caring staff, I only stayed one night and didn’t had breakfast, but I felt so good during my stay and again spacious and clean rooms!

Location is the main attraction and it's just opp to Lulu Mall, Trivandrum and basically it's service apartment with 3 bed room+Bath room. Flat is spacious and suitable for family accomodation.
The staff were cordial and helpful. The best part of the hotel was its location. If you don't have much luggage you can just stroll across to the airport in less than five minutes.
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staffs were very hospitable and there for every need of mine. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who is visiting Trivandrum.
