Considering that this is an older hotel, the rooms are quite large, immaculate, and well-maintained.The room had a nice clean toilet, and the staff was quite kind.Overall, I had a pretty pleasant time.

We were in the city to visit family so it was not chosen as a tourist destination. The roads are chaotic and dangerous. We didn’t walk and only took taxis or tuk tuks. New pipes are being laid so the roads are impassable in a lot of areas adding to the general mayhem. As the family are Indian and locals we only went to eat at places they frequent and therefore the food was fabulous. Shopping was an experience, everywhere was full of people but again we were with family and our lack of the language was not a problem and we were never over charged or taken advantage of. Two weeks of having a true Indian living experience was great and I enjoyed every minute. Clearly Trivandrum is upgrading its city experience but they really need to sort the rubbish that is everywhere and a health hazard. Dog and get welfare needs looking at.

the city is very clean,Temple premises very clean. no garbage thrown on road sides. people specially three wheeler drivers are helpful. communication was no problem. but the taxidrivers taking you for outstation trips are stubborn about their rates and make no adjustment in case we wish to deviate a little and pick up things on the way.And taxi charges are exorbitant which come around 40 to 50 rupees per kilometer for even a small sedan. Where as in other states the taxi price is 14/15 rupees per kilometer. On hot afternoon also if we request the taxi driver for some favour they show cold shoulder.

TVM being the capital has much to offer with regards to historic sites, temples and even education institutions.
We got lucky to discover an on-going Art Exhibition at the Government Arts College next to the Public Library. The Raja Ravi Varma Art collection next to the Zoo in the Napier Museum compound is awesome!

It's a good city, I liked it very much.
It's a good city, I liked it very much. Locals are very friendly. But it's very humid and sticky. If you are Walker like me then it takes out lot of sweat and makes you tired. Temple visit in the morning was very satisfying..nice arrengement and they don't rush you away. May be it was off season. Overall it's a good place to stay for short break.
The hotel was in a good location, close to the major spots like Padmanabhaswamy temple and the local markets. Our room was clean and comfortable. Locks on the doors were sturdy which kept us feeling secured during the stay as we were two female travellers. We opted to eat at the Easter buffet in the restaurant below and it was the best Kerala meal we've had in our whole trip. It was simply delightful!
The staff was very generous and sweet.
Overall it was a perfect stay and we will definitely stay in the same hotel everytime we visit. :)
I stayed here as a part of my honeymoon visit. Ambara was kind enough to upgrade me to a suite room as a sweet gesture.
The property is located in good connectivity. Parking space is ample. The suite room was amazingly spacious, no complaints whatsoever. Rooms were cleaned, hotel premises were well kept at all times.
The hotel staff was very courteous, The Hotel Manager, Athira, is really a gem of a person, she helped us manage our itinerary in Trivandrum and we could make the most of it.
The best think is liked was the kindness of the staff..I have not seen such warm and kind staff anywhere else..
The in room service is so good..they took care of every minute detail.
It's a business property but I felt that the staff is more than kind...they have a nice sports kind of bar at the rooftop as a bonus which is not very common at other good hotels in kerala..

I had a wonderful stay with my family at Maryland last week. The villa was neat and tidy with impeccable service. Hosts Edwin and his wife were very friendly who were always there to provide any kind of service and make the stay very enjoyable. The food was delicious and the location was very close to Trivandrum Airport and the beach.

The staff was courteous, hard-working and prompt...trying to address maintenance issues constantly. I felt sorry for them...the hotel doesn't match their work ethic (needs renovation desperately).

A most modern apattment, with all amenities in it and that too at the heart of the city. The best part of our stay was, how we were taken care of by the property owner Mr Rahim. Such an excellent person with great attention to detail for customer experience. Will definitely recommend all to avoid a hotel and go for this, since you can feel secured at home in this place.
Happy stay. Best for family with kids and couple . They have a garden back side where we can do campfire barbique and time pass. Shangumugam beach is just a yard to the hotel. Property is some sort of old fashioned classically built but they are maintaining it well. Neat and clean rooms. Great customs service.
The hotel was clean, the manager was helpful in arranging transport to Madurai and various locations in Tamil Nadu. The location is 6 minutes walk to the famous Padmanabhaswamy Temple. Two days stay here is more than enough to visit places in and around Trivandrum.
