We stayed twice at this property in the same trip...first was on arrival at leh for 2 days and the second stay was the last 2 days before we left Leh..The staff was very welcoming and warm with great service..Food was homely and they cater to your needs.. Great gesture of hospitality : we had requested for 1 day cancellation in case we returned late from our pangong visit for our sec9nd time sray ...and they agreed to it without hastles.. property was in constant touch with us..and during our second time stay ..they checked on us if we wanted anything special cooked for dinner on our arrival...it was my son's birthday and they arranged a cake for the occasion on request which was great...our stay clashed with the Operation Sindoor stay....the flight got cancelled just on the day we were supposed to fly back home.. we had to leave Leh by road to Manali...they packed food for us to have on the way .. the property was in constant touch to ensure we have reached safe..All these were great gestures of hospitality..would highly recommend this place ..in terms of its location, mountain view, cleanliness, homely tasty food and above all great staff!!

    Excellent place to visit. Has varied topography,landscapes and terrain. Infrastructure is just amazing. It has rivers,lakes , mountains and dessert. The pangong lake is just out of this world. Nubra valley is worth a visit and also all the monasteries and the palaces.

    1. Leh itinerary of 7 to 8 days is good for visit most of the places in Ladhak less Kargil. 2. 2/3 day of acclimatization is necessary at Leh. 3. Places of interest are Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, Leh Market, Shey, Hemis & Thiskey Monasteries, Hunder sand dunes, Turtuk, Pangong Tso, Khardung La & Chang La Pass. 4. Travelling for 5 to 6 hrs daily. 5. Keep yourself hydrated. 6. Best travel time is May to Jun/ Jul. Aug is hot. By mid sep the passes may close.

    Beautiful monasteries and the town is cleaner the other Indian places. The Laddakhi people are honest, quiet, and not pushy with customers. All in all, a breath of fresh air from the filth and madness that characterizes much of the country.

    I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know my way around Leh.

    I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know my way around Leh. There is, pretty much, everything you might need from clothing to medicine, souvenirs, and even oxygen and gas cannisters! The wide cultural variety was always in full view. Don't forget that altitude and illness can affect your appreciation of the region, as I discovered. From sea-level to 1100ft in one heave needs to be taken seriously!

    Leh gives us a different India. The imposing Himalayan mountains that surround it, the people in it - Tibetans, Indians, Kashmiris, are pleasant and put a smile on your face, the excellent food, the villages, monasteries and landscapes in its surroundings, make Leh a magical place where there is always more to discover in and around it. Special places to eat&drink: 1. Chai Shai - greatefood and the best Chai! 2. MegPie (on Changs - greate food, team and Nutella Momos + a place to chill out for some time 3. Bon Apetit - wonderfull food and atmosphere 4. The Tibetian Kitchen - greate and freash tibetian food Travel Agent: 1. Markha Tour & Travel on Changspa road - ask for Tashi, the most kind and proffesioanl guy who will take care of you and suit your sight seeing around Leh

    The stay was heavenly, they treated us with utmost kindness and love. On our way to Um Ling La my friend met with an accident and broke his hand. Rigzin and family helped us get through the situation and provided us with comfortable stay and food. The Nilza folks are one of the most humane people we encountered on our Kerala to Ladakh trip. For us, stories of Leh is incomplete with these folks.

    Everyone at Amir homestay is so friendly and welcoming. The moment I stepped in I felt immidiately at ease after a long trip, making it the best place to get some relaxation while also getting the opportunity to experience ladakhi food and culture. I can't explain it, but they just treat me like family and also opted to explore the nearby sights with me! 100% would recommend.

    Perfect stay in Leh. Great location 3 mins walk to the main market and many restaurants. The views of the Palace and mountains around are beautiful. Very clean room and hot water showers. We were able to store a bag while we did a motorbike trip around ladakh. Thank you!
