We can't fault anything about St John's B and B. The house is in a lovely area surrounded by a beautiful wood and only 15 minutes from Athlone. Our room was clean and comfortable. We received a warm welcome with tea and buns. We got a lovely and plentiful breakfast the next morning. Marie is a lovely down to earth woman who couldn't do enough to make sure we enjoyed our stay.

Hoist was lovely very accommodating. The house is a dream. I absolutely fell in love with it and the kids asked if we could just buy that house and move there. Beautiful part of the country, beautiful house. Kids wanted to know when we could go back before we'd even left.

The lady in the small museum was very helpful and full of information/suggestions to help me with my enquires. The Catholic Church is a lovely building with beautiful windows. Walking around the castle ruin and reading the information on that was also interesting.

Drove hours to come here because this is where family is from (4 generations ago). I now know why they left. It was not great. Not worth coming to. Some cool old ruins but a lot of other places id prefer to go.

Roscommon is a lively town with great bars and restaurants mixed with historical interest and lovely, scenic walks plus near the River Shannon. Plenty of shops, all close by with a large shopping centre. Would recommend all to visit. The Coachman's Inn is a fabulous place to stay with great rooms and a big welcome.

Beautiful building with great fitness facilities.
Beautiful building with great fitness facilities. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We were travelling through the area and only had one night to go to the Roscommon Race Track. Enjoyed our stay except our 5' 10" teenage granddaughter wasn't allowed in the fitness area even though she was accompanied by her mother and uncle.

Part of the real Irish experience- not just the 15 min here and move on tourist spots. Can get around area by train or bus. Castle in Roscommon, Westport, and Athlone were some of my favorite spots and easy to access by nice train system that was accessible, affordable & easy to use. I wish I could have stayed 2 more days to enjoy the music festival in Mullingar. Best places to eat were Molloys ,Gleeson’s, Reagan’s Gastro Pub in Roscommon and Les Petite Tartes in Athleague
Lovely hotel, and the staff were without exception really friendly and helpful, even though, with the Omicron thing happening, their Christmas Week had dissolved into cancelled bookings and very little business. We liked our stay, with the exception of the really pretty noisy building at night - an unaccountable regular thump-thump from the pipes, and at times a regular tune played in the heating system. That disturbed our night's rest, which was a pity. BUT the rest of the stay, and especially the staff, were excellent. Thank you.
The Inn had recently been renovated and was beautiful inside and out. All new carpets, wall decor, doors, bathrooms, every attention to detail was made. Michael, the bar/inn manager was so friendly and welcoming. He helped us decide on food for dinner and was very warm. Inn was perfectly located in town, easy walk to shops, coffee, and both the Abbey and Castle, which we were excited to see.
Warm and welcoming staff. Very homely atmosphere; snug and warm. Good use of wall colours, pictures and illustrations throughout the hotel. Dinner service good. Atmospheric hotel with comfortable rooms. Well situated for exploring town. A delightful hostelry to spend a couple of nights.
Comfy, cozy, quaint old hotel. Not fancy but very clean. Breakfast was one of the best-the sunflower seed brown bread is unbelievable. The staff was just lovely. We got into Ireland at 530 am and drove to Roscommon. We were allowed to check way before time to catch a map.
Very spacious comfortable accommodation. All bedrooms had there own bathroom.
Two sitting rooms useful for big family.
Owners very friendly and helpful. Nice pub with good food nearby. A short drive to Roscommon and Athlone fairly close for shopping.Hope to return .
The location is great, in the centre of Roscommon on the Market Square. There are plenty bars and restaurants to choose from in the immediate area. The room was large and well appointed, although the shower cubicle was very small and not the best shower unit.
The hosts couldn't have been more accommodating to us. The room is quite spacious with a big ensuite. Mary kindly allowed us use of her oven for pizza's. Lovely lovely people house is in a gorgeous location as well very close to both Athlone and Roscommon.
Fabulous pub/hotel in Roscommon Town Centre, our room was spotlessly clean and looked like it had been refurbished. Big shout out for the breakfast, best I've had and very good value for money.
