The breakfast room is just outstanding with a lovely view and a good range of available food. We also liked the executive room with a lot of space. The swimming pool was nice and the employee at the spa reception was really friendly (a guy ~30 years, apologies I did not note the name).

Malahide is a cute village on the Irish Sea. It has a variety of restaurants, pubs, and shops. It's a very easy town to walk around. Public transportation to Dublin or nearby towns is readily available.

The village is quite pretty with many old houses. It is clean but in August quite busy. Traffic can be slow moving through the town. The beach was disappointing but Portmarnock beach a couple of miles south is very good. There are many restaurants which provide a variety of choice although there is a preponderance of Italian dishes. The views out to sea are good and walking around the town is interesting.

I'm not familiar with the area, trip was for a wedding with a couple of days added on. Transport was slow. Nowhere locally to leave a suitcase on departure day. The train station officer allowed us to leave it for a few hours.
We enjoyed a tour around Malahide Castle and a stroll around the gardens.
Lots of pubs if that's your thing. I don't drink.
Not knowing the area I am unlikely to visit there again. However, if you want a base for travel into town, it's fine. Travelling inland is tricky unless you travel by the Luas on the old line towards Sandyford.
We got taxis everywhere as the wedding was nearby, as were a couple of family visits. If going out, definitely plan your travel to reduce frustration. It is cheap though and taxis are not extortionate either, as fares strictly by the meter. Just book ahead if on a deadline :-)

The hotel expansion programme since my last visit is astonishing but it retains and has upgraded its regality without charging an extreemly high fee. Since it was too late to eat in the hotel we walked into the village and just scraped into a useful take away venue closing at 11 pm. Expectations that we could have had the food delivered to the hotel were unfounded but we enjoyed a late night drink to accompany the food on our return. This is a wonderful but not stuffy hotel with most agreable staff.

Lovely village.walk along marina dog fouling obvious.
Lovely village.walk along marina dog fouling obvious. Spoils the whole image of area. Townhouse lane changed by covid.
Empty shops could be tidied and dressed. 3x shops Mark Cain etc brilliant and welcoming.
Malahide Guset Rooms is in a quite locaion but still in reaching distance of all the amenities of Malahide itself. It is handy to have a car but Malahide has a bus service and a dart station if you want to go into Dublin City centre or a little bit further afield. Malahide Guest Rooms is also just up the road from Malahide Castle where you can go for a long walk or just have lunch.
Beautiful room - lovely décor, spacious, comfortable bed. Close proximity to Dublin Airport (10-15 mins drive) which was perfect for us as we were flying out next morning. Several eating places in Malahide village a short drive away. Highly recommend.
Lovely, comfortable ( great bed) all things catered for. Loved it. I will return. R was a great host. Thank you. I have told everyone! Short walk to Malahide centre and the Dart Malahide Castle beautiful and Avoca scones 😋😋
Very nice house in a nice quiet neighborhood. We chose it because it was close to the airport, but Malahide is a nice town and there is also Malahide castle, which is worth the visit.
The host was very kind.
The location is beautiful. Set on the coastal road in lovely little village. The hotel grounds very tranquil. I didnt get chance to use the pool and spa facilities but they did look very clean and updated.
Comfortable, close to Malahide beach and a short walk to Malahide. Beautiful area and lovely stay at ByTheSea, the host was very welcoming and let me know if there was anything else I needed just ask.
Location was superb for a stay that was quiet and peaceful
Walk through the park near the castle in to Malahide village was easy
Near the Dart, excellent cafes etc in the village
Very friendly. Felt like we were staying with friends. This is a great place to stay for a few days before flying home. Malahide is a cool town with some good pubs and restaurants.
The lodging is no longer a "bed and breakfast" but our hosts supplied tea, coffee and snack bars and more. The lodging is within a few blocks of restaurants that served breakfast.
The location is great, right by the Malahide Castle and the airport is 15 minutes away. The staff is very responsive. It's a great place to stay if you're catching a flight.
The proximity to the town, soundproof room and the best Irish breakfast buffet ever together with a gorgeous view from the restaurant picture windows ever. It's a keeper. ❤
Very elegant place, the kitchen was very well equipped, close to a bus stop (30 mins to the city centre) and very nice park & castle near by (Malahide)
