The isolation, miles from anywhere.
The proximity to the airport, I think we were less than 30 minutes away from Knock airport.
The locals, on the final evening we were there, we ventured into Dun Mor (the closest town). We sampled 4 pubs and the local Chinese takeaway (The May Flower), everyone we met was so friendly and welcoming.
The games room, pool table and darts with a beer to finish the evening off.
The breakfast, a nice full Irish breakfast to start the day off.
Beautiful property - I stayed two nights. Drove through the tiny village of Moylough. Very quiet, not a tourist town, but a rural town. Make sure you have a good GPS to get to and from the Wild Atlantic Way and the Cliffs of Moher and don't come back in the nighttime.

The area is deceptive - there's quite a lot going on and a busy Heritage Group. A traditional small town with various shops and meal options throughout the day. Also as a couple of minutes from the next town, Mount Bellew gives more choices. Beautiful scenery yet within easy reach of Galway City.
