Dublin Castle is at the heart of the city's history and Trinity College holds the renowned Book of Kells, a beautifully illustrated manuscript from circa 800 AD. Dublin has a great vibe. There are always lots of people around, obviously a lot of foreign visitors but also it has a diverse population nowadays. It has wonderful art galleries and museums, famous theatres and pubs and a large green space to run, jog, or saunter in. Do your research and choose a few activities or venues if on a short break, you can always come back . Some great tours also that go outside of the city with great info related by some wonderful local characters.

Spent most of the evening in Devitts pub on Camden St, Lower - only a 2 min walk from the hotel. Very busy, to be expected for the time of year. There were also some players from the Leinster Rugby team in the pub!! A good night all round

Dublin is amazing, one of my favourite cities in the world and I’d highly recommend going, you’ll never regret it and the shops are fantastic with everything you’ll ever need including the best pubs, people and atmosphere in the world.
The best thing is you’ll never see a Glasgow Rangers top either!!!

The city centre is dirty, dangerous and not recommended for families.
I live in Ireland and my advice to anyone visiting Ireland is, get a car in the airport and run away from Dublin. Ireland gets safer, better and nicer the further you are from Dublin.
Hard to believe but Belfast is safer today (and cleaner).
Unfortunately, I have seen how Dublin has become worse over the last 26 years.
At night time it turns into a total apocalyses.
I cannot undertand how Dublin authorities had let that happened.

So mixed---some of it very sophisticated but a lot of it run-down. It's very crowded now and can be very edgy. Lots of social problems which spill over onto the streets. A very young, international vibe which can be fun or rather intimidating. And why is it so dark?

The hotel had a luxury feel to it and so had the room. It was equipped with a small kitchen and nice bathroom. The room was spacious and the hotelstaff was very friendly. The gym in the hotel was a nice addition and in the main hall there was a very nice coffee/breakfast/lunch company. About 20-30 min walk to the city centre or you could take the tram that's in front of the hotel. With a busstop across the street that travels to Dublin airport the location was very good.
Location was perfect for city centre. Room was a good size, lovely and clean. House maids and all staff very friendly. I come to Ireland on a regular basis to meet family. I will definitely be staying here again. I stayed in a triple room with friends. They loved it too. My elderly parents also stayed in the hotel. They were very happy with the location and the facilities. I left some clothing behind. The hotel rang me and have kindly put them in the post.
Clean modern hotel at an affordable price in Dublin City centre, just steps away from the red Luas line. Lots of good restaurants nearby. The staff were very helpful. Stylish hotel which is good value. A rare gem. Will definitely be back.
Great location. It is possible to walk into the city centre (15-20 minutes). A good rate given Dublin hotel prices. Food in the bar was ok - very similar to that in other Clayton hotels.
