FAQs about hotels in Dublin

Great History, Greenery and Pubs

Dublin is home to more than a quarter of the entire Republic of Ireland’s population and was originally founded as a Viking settlement. A lot has changed from those Viking days, and Dublin is now famous for its literary history and the most green-spaces of any other European capital, making Dublin a real Irish gem.

Dublin Castle is at the heart of the city's history and Trinity College holds the renowned Book of Kells, a beautifully illustrated manuscript from circa 800 AD. The Ha’penny Bridge is the city’s most photographed landmark and the statue of Molly Malone celebrates the heroine of Dublin’s unofficial anthem.

Dublin is home to many important literary figures including Oscar Wilde, William Yeats, Samuel Beckett and George Bernard Shaw. As the famous location of James Joyce’s “Ulysses”, the city offers tours tracing the protagonist’s footsteps.

Being one of the most youthful European cities, Dublin has a vibrant nightlife scene with the popular Temple Bar area and plenty of bars and pubs, which invite you to stay out until the wee hours of the morning.

The Dublin Airport is the gateway to your Irish holiday, so whether you’re looking for a stylish hotel, a self-catering apartment or a trendy hostel, Booking.com has a perfect deal for your Dublin trip.

I really enjoyed Dublin, and I'd highly recommend seeing the Book of Kells at Trinity College, while Marsh's Library and St Patrick's Cathedral are underrated gems. I also loved the archaeology museum, which was so informative, and I did a cool Haunted Dublin walking tour which was a good way to see more of the Temple Bar area. It's really easy getting to and from the airport, and I highly recommend Born for Burgers on Dame Street! Just watch out for the thieving seagulls in any of the parks. They will quite literally take food out of your hands.

    Friendly and bustling.

Friendly and bustling. Historically interesting and every other building is a pub. Felt safe and no raucous stag or hen parties. Didn’t see anyone drunk and the city was generally clean with lots of interesting sites. Was there for the week but still left feeling missed many more places to visit,

Nice city to visit durning the day, durning night not so family friendly. Public transporrt payment system is a bit confusing. You either need to buy 90min, 24h tickets or have exact change for the trip. No notes are accepted or cards.

Lovely city with warm people. Visit a pub, drink an Irish whisky and visit the museums of the city. It should be noted that a visit to a place to listen to traditional Irish music and watch the tradiotional Irish dancers is strongly recomended. EPIC museum is an experience, a modern museum.

Dublin is quite sad. So many homeless people.

Dublin is quite sad. So many homeless people. I did not feel good about leaving the hotel after dark, so we ate dinner in the very good restaurant in the hotel. We saw drug addicts fixing in the street. I enjoyed EPIC, the emigration museum. Staff is so nice! The same for Book of Kells and Dublin Castle. The good thing is that everything is in walking distance! Dublin can easily be done in 2 days.

The room was very much exactly what I needed, comfy bed, hair dryer, a lot of outlets to plug in, convenient light switch above bed along with reading lamps, shower with very good water pressure and a secure door, toiletries were stocked up(mostly, all but conditioner to be fair). The temp controls worked very well, making it easy to get comfortable.Amazing location ( like idk if you can ask for any better location than 2 min from city centre...price was very good considering how bad the prices of hotels are in Ireland (110/night)

Everything was excellent. The staff was very helpful and polite. The breakfast was hearty and very tasty. The hotel is located in a very nice and quiet neighborhood of Dublin. The city centre is easily accessible by public transport, but if you feel like walking it won't take more than half an hour to get to the heart of the Irish capital. I highly recommend it.
