The Abbeyleix Manor Hotel, hotel in Donaghmore

The 3-star Abbeyleix Manor Hotel offers a relaxing and ideal base to explore the hidden beauties of County Laois and the Midlands of Ireland.

The room was big and beautiful. The location was ideal for shopping in portlaoise and kilkenny. The staff were a pleasure to deal with, especially when one of our meals was not to a nice standard. They dealt with it very professionally.

Donaghmore is a very small old rural village.

Donaghmore is a very small old rural village. There’s a pub that looked lovely but food service stopped at 4 so we didn’t visit. I visited the famine museum and it was great. Nearby towns we visited were castlecomer, graignamangh. Both beautiful.
