No cooked breakfast but was for us the best of breakfasts: fast, plenty of healthy and fresh choices (excellent cold salmon), thoughtful gluten-free offering in response to our request in advance. Very good location, a couple of blocks from town center yet quiet, a bit uphill with a nice view of the harbour. Roomy bathroom with lots of natural light. Excellent, charming host.

It is an experience more than just a hotel stay. The beautiful grounds with breathtaking views of the sea make leaving the estate unnesssary. The pool with saunas, steam rooms, and spa cover all basis so you can relax after walking the many walkways on the grounds. And just for fun, they have thrown in a murder mystery and mission impossible activity to be solved. The staff make a place and Parknasilla is no different, every staff member we came into contact with was friendly, helpful and made the trip with warm charm.
Featuring free WiFi, Sea Villa offers accommodation 5 km from Ardgroom, on the Wild Atlantic Way. Free private parking is available on site. Each room has a flat-screen TV.

The B&B is most certainly the best one we’ve ever stayed in, it was better than a 5* hotel! The room was just beautiful it had French doors going out to the garden, we were given a glass of bubbly each on arrival and when we returned from our meal out the bed was turned down with chocolates and there was a night cap for us both with a lovely note saying have a good night sleep!! Our breakfast was amazing and we were even given biscuits and cakes for our journey!!
The pods were a great base to tour the Beara peninsula from.

There is so much to do in this area.
There is so much to do in this area. Beautiful gardens you could spend half a day if not a full day. Scenery will exceed all your expectations. I have travelled all over the world and reland still remains the most beautiful country. The food in the pubs we randomly went into was lovely and fairly priced.

Castletownbere is a lovely fishing town in the south west of Ireland. It has a number of great cafes and restaurants. In addition to being a very picturesque place, it is within deriving distance of everywhere on the amazing Bear peninsula, which in my opinion is one of the most beautiful places to see in Ireland.

A fantastic location that is really unspoilt!
A fantastic location that is really unspoilt! Fabulous scenery ,great walks even around the town and the harbour, very good places to eat. I'd even recommend the chippers in the Square and great music in the pubs at night.
It was really easy to get talking to locals and tourists alike. Very relaxed atmosphere and got some shopping in too! I loved the Art Gallery and prices were very good too.
The location of Rodeen Country House was a perfect base for us to visiting surrounding areas such as Allihies, Eyeries and the local islands such as Dursey Island. Rodeen Country house is nestled into the countryside of Castletownbere and is very close to the town. Philippe and Sophie were very welcoming, the house was very comfortable, lots of space to relax in the evening time a with a comfortable lounge indoors and outside boasts beautiful gardens with plenty of outdoor seating. Breakfast was delicious. Rooms were very comfortable.
A beautiful B&B located in a quiet yet wonderful location easily accessible by car (not sure about another mode of transport as I used my own car). The place was kept in excellent condition and the room had all the necessary amenities. The toilet was good and had all the required toiletries and fresh towels. The view from our room was lovely, especially in the morning. The breakfast served was good too. It is close to a lot of beautiful scenic gems along the west of cork. Ideal location if you are planning a ring of Beara trip.
This is a very well maintained, clean and cosy flat located in the town centre. Bedrooms are tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Living / Kitchen area is bright and is well equipped and the bathroom is very good with spacious shower. Our hosts were accessible if needed and kindly left some local goodies for our arrival. Local coffee, bread, butter, jam and milk - most welcome and appreciated. Would highly recommend the Old Library for a stay in Castletownbere.
Without a doubt, the best B&B in all of Beara. Beautiful room, great location, and the hotel is staffed by angels - Michelle, Lorna and all the staff put in so much effort to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The food is absolutely divine - unparalleled breakfast, and the Tea Room serves the best cake we've ever eaten. If you wish to explore the Beara Peninsula, make the Old Medical Hall your base of operations.
Breakfast was fabulous. Really nicely presented fry, cooked to perfection. Plenty of everything - including extra toast. The location is ideal for Castletownbere, for the Dursey Cable car, kayaking and touring West Cork.
Anything you need - just ask. Mary is really hospitable and made us all feel at home. Gave great recommendations on where to visit and places to enjoy an evening meal.
Everything was lovely. Denis the host is gracious & helpful — as needed. The location is terrific for getting out & about in the town of Castletownbere, with a wonderful view across the bay to Bere Island. The breakfast each morning is sumptuous, cold cuts, fruit salad, freshly baked bread, eggs & sausage on weekends. There's even a small library of books about the West Cork region.
Pods are very modern and very cosy
Electric heaters used as it is early march and warmed up pod in minutes.
Bed was very cosy and firm enough we felt refreshed after a great sleep
Location is a few Kilometres from castletownbere so be if your going for a few drinks you’ll need a taxi, card for local service provided.
Cooking facilities are BBQ, microwave & toaster.
Fantastic modern cottage in superb location, with towering Hungry Hill above and glorious views across Gantry Bay below. The house is only a 10-minute drive away from Castletownbere, with its bars and restaurants. Very tranquil position, peaceful at night. Very good place to stay if you want to explore the Beara peninsula and beyond.
Nice little place right at the waterfront in Castletownbere. Well located and there are plenty of parking bays close by.
Room was cozy with good heating and decent size bed. Quite a few pubs nearby for a Guinness!
Communication from the manager was really good and made everything easy.
Lovely b&b located centrally in Castletownbere. Owners communicated exceptionally well through app & assisted with every need. Spent 2 night prior to the start of my hike & the first night I had gotten in quite late & they had left homemade chocolate chip cookies & makings for tea :)
The landlady, Mary, was so helpful. Gave me lots of information and history about the area. Drove me into a local restaurant in Castletownbere on the first night. She left a continental breakfast available for me due to my departure being outside of her scheduled serving times.
We had breakfast at Lynch's On The Pier in Castletownbere.
Great experience. Service and food were great.
We checked in and out with Shiela, and she was friendly, courteous, and extremely helpful.

The lodge was a everything one could have hoped, fully equipped and well laid out, also a great base for touring the peninsula. Good restaurants and bars in Castletownbere. A return visit a must.
It's very comfortable good location in castletownbere owner very easy to get on with price not bad considering the price of some of the b/b in castletownbere stayed there two times already.
Lovely hotel in Castletownbere, good sized room with views across the harbour. Cafe serving good breakfast and lunches with restaraunt options closeby in the square for evening dining.
Very comfortable and quiet room with nice breakfast. Castletownbere offers a lot of possibilities for outdoor activities and the B&B is perfectly located for day-trips in the area.
Early check-in was no problem and room had fantastic view. Located on Wild Atlantic Way, just minutes walk to center of Castletownbere. We will be back!
