Massive property right next to the beach, with individual detached villas with private pools, just exceptional. Since the property is quite far off from Changgu the resort provided daily free pickup and dropoff shuttle to the centre, which was great as getting a taxi to the location was a bit of a hassle.
Breakfast service was great and the staff was friendly and ready to assist.
Located 15 minutes’ drive from Taman Ayun, Umasari Rice Terrace Villa is set in Marga, Tabanan. Free Wi-Fi access is available in all areas of the property. Rooms here will provide you with a terrace....

Fantastic being in the middle of rice terraces and Balinese village. Staff were so accommodating. There is a real family feeling to this place. Great pools, lots of walkways. It is representative of the Bali I fell in love with 23 years ago. The village dogs that live around the property are friendly even like being patted and very well loved and cared for.

We spent four amazing days here.
We had the option to choose between different activities (e.g.: trip to a waterfall, coconut oil making, beach yoga, massage), yoga sessions every morning and afternoon, and had lunch and dinner as well.
It was an amazing experience, and I hope we can come again 🙌

A stunning villa overlooking a jungle river. Great architecture, well equipped, friendly staff, and a very tranquil location, that is still close to great restaurants in Canggu to order deliveries from.

Amazing friendly staff, beautiful villa with large sitting/dining area outside and a pool with fantastic views over the rice fields and ocean. The food was excellent and very fresh. We loved the location, away from everything. It is a great spot to relax for a couple of days.

I can't generalize the whole area because it's really big. There are some nice views and, surely, there are many places to visit. But the transfers take too much time, bumpy roads, hilly, upside-down, left-to-right and so on. You have to have a lot of patience to go there.

The beaches in this area not very good.
The beaches in this area not very good. To travel to any tourist land mark takes minimum 30 minutes buy scooter. Grab and Gojek not available in this area. So need to definitely rent a scooter. I booked 13 days stayed 10 and left.
Yhe shower had a water saver shower head, took a really long time to actually get wet using it. Ended up removing shower head and showering under open hole. Food was terrible at resort. Was sick first 4 days then started eating at other areas. There is honestly nothing of interest near this location. Internet had problems with wifi modem everyday, lucky to get 30 minutes use each day.
Laundry was cheap. Local food cheap. But everything else was just bad

So good to be away from busy South Bali.
So good to be away from busy South Bali.
Here it is all about real balinese life and tradition.
For sure the main road is just a way to go there but once you step out of it this is lush, nature, villages with soul.

Tabanan is the region of Bali south of Denpasar and north of Kuta etc. So although it includes Tanah Lot - the very popular Hindu beach temple, it also has many unspoilt areas of rice fields, farms, very pretty, clean villages and glorious empty beaches although we didn't swim due to the rips on our local beach. There is a marvellous pottery in Pejatan where you can not only buy some lovely local ceramics but do classes as well. We also visited the Subak museum (we were the only visitors there and had a guide take us round) where they explain the village rice growing organisations and the Mangarana Memorial Park which has a war memorial commemorating all the Balinese who died against the Dutch in the war of independence in 1949 and the graves of the 89 guerillas who died in an actual battle there, including their leader, I Gusti Ngurah Rai (after whom the Airport at Denpasar is named) The driver from our hotel showed us his Uncles grave, which has their village name on it. So much to see but such rural quiet if you want it; great area for cycling or walking and exploring.

MY REVIEW OF TABANAN ITSELF WAS GREAT.
MY REVIEW OF TABANAN ITSELF WAS GREAT.
BUT AS FOR THE ACCOMMODATION, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYBODY. BOOKED THE ARYA RIVERSIDE VILLA AND ENDED UP HAVING TO FIND ALTERNATIVE ACCOMMODATION DUE TO THE FACT THAT WE BOOKED THIS VILLA IN FEB 2019 FOR 2 NIGHTS IN JULY. GAVE OUR CREDIT CARD AND PAID FOR THIS ACCOMMODATION. GOT TO THE VILLA TO FIND IT PADLOCKED UP AND NOBODY AROUND TO BOOK US IN WAITED 2 HOURS FOR SOMEONE TO TURN UP AND SEVERAL PHONE CALLS TO THE NUMBER ON OUR BOOKING SHEET - NO ANSWER ON THAT PHONE. NO TELEPHONE NUMBERS AT THE VILLA TO CALL ANYONE TO OPEN UP THE VILLA. HAD TO LEAVE AFTER 2 HOURS TO FIND OUR ALTERNATIVE ACCOMMODATION. WE ARE TRYING TO NOW GET A FULL REFUND FROM THE COMPANY. NO JOY YET. VERY ANRGY AND DISAPPOINTED WITH BOOKING.COM AND THE OWNERS OF THE VILLA.

This place was amazing.
This place was amazing. Far away from everything except a restaurant up the beach which was a bit expensive but ok and a few tiny local shops. It’s unique and has magical gardens that are very highly maintained. Situated between rice fields and the black sandy beach. What a perfect escape for a couple to a family. Would definitely recommend.
The villa itself was bigger than expected and a resting and good place to stay, very calm and soothing for the soul, which I appreciated for the quiet. The host and the team managed to keep the place and whole staying time clean. The staff welcomed me and was very available and by giving me advises for activities to do nearby or far away, they were very efficient and advising when it came for some restaurants or places nearby the villa to visit. The time there was awesome. If we come back to Tabanan, we will be staying here again.
Location is really the only reason to stay here. If you want to be surrounded by rice terraces and be able to view them at sunrise and sunset then this is a worthwhile hotel to book. Rice terraces are really beautiful and there is easy access from the hotel grounds. Grabfood and Gojek will deliver here, though Grabcar will not pick up here. Gojek car, however, will pick up here but it may take longer. If you are leaving to go to the airport from here, keep this in mind.
Our stay at Ranggon D’tukad was an absolute highlight of our several weeks in Bali thus far! The villa is private and along a beautiful rice field and river/stream. The warung they run has incredible (and affordable) traditional balinese food. Ketut is, and has been, deeply involved in the local community and is an amazing resource to learning the area. Rest and respite are truly found here in this incredibly serene stay!
I liked absolutely everything about this place! We stayed at the ocean view willa and we loved it! The room was spacious and the view was amazing. The staff were so polite and welcoming. The massages we took were so good. The food at the Lilly restaurant was good as well.
Oh and the sunsets there… just gorgeous!
The hotel is located where the locals live. So driving there we got to see some local living which was great.
nice property but it all depends on which room you get — if you get a room closer to the road, you will hear cars driving all night and day — it can get very loud. when we stayed there, there was additional problem of construction ongoing which led to a disaster for us.
the hotel was not willing to change our rooms and we had to leave the hotel after 1 night.
hotel is pretty
Superbe hôtel with very kind staff, restaurant and food. Location in the heart of the rice fields with lot of walking trails if you would like to enjoy nature. We was in the separate villa, and the place was beautiful. 4 little villas with little swimming pool. The restaurant is not next door, but you walk around the rice fields to get there. You can also request room service
Lovely place. Quite large and private villas, not crowded or noisy, with lots of comfortable places to rest, lots of trees filled with birds, beautiful views around. Staff are attentive and helpful and clean the rooms every day. The food was excellent - best vegetarian nasi goreng I’ve had in Indonesia. Wifi was good. Relaxing place to work online or chill out.
This place is such a small gem! The location with a million dollar view, food is extremely cheap and delicious. Bed is super comfy, shower is the best among all hotels i stayed in Bali.
We use fireplace and made some cheeses on fire just ay our lounge zone of the room!
Staff is super friendly and sweet. Highly recommend!!!
The hotel is in the middle of the forrest making it very peaceful and giving you a nature experience. Do not miss out on the massage, we had a balinese massage and it was top
the staff were extra friendly and the food was clean and delicious.
highly recommended for couples
I stay for my husband Birthday. They decorated the beds with flowers. Private pool was pretty size. I love it.
Bathroom had a little bit smelly. Other are perfect.
Thank you for your warm welcome! See you next time!
Near to the sea, no tourist place, very relax. Totally what I like, I rent a scooter and to easy for visit Tabanan, Ubud, Tana lot etc...
Everybody was super friendly with me, I miss all and I can't wait to come back
Don’t lack of reviews scare you away stay here whilst you are in Tabanan or on the way to Munduk it’s amazing. Komang (the host) will ensure your stay enjoyable & he will do above & beyond!
Breakfast was great, fresh and local ingredients with and Indian twist, very nice and something different than regular coffeeshops and hotels around the island, definitely worth trying.
Amazing hotel, great facilities and excellent food! The staff was so friendly and always keen to make our stay comfortable. We will come back for sure!
