Good breakfast staff, basic food quality, good selection.
Bikes felt unsafe with no bell, defective brakes and had to ask for tyres pumping.
Aircon didnt work for our 2 night stay. Kept being promised it would be fixed. Said fully booked and couldn't change rooms. Pestered all night to resolve fixing then told compressor and cant fix and offered to just 'sleep'in another room. Next day offered to change rooms but not worth the pack up for 1 night. Spoilt the 2 night chiller at the end of our touring Bali trip..no rest for phone ringing and door bell and knocking. Last day locked out of room for hours as keycard wouldnt work. Manager and staff very good..messengers and frontmen for poor organisation. Manager sorted late check out and complimentary lunch for inconvenience which was all she could do really. Beach area lovely but a fair walk or ride on a sub standard bike if one available..only 6.

Breakfast was plentiful with daily menu changes. You could also order freshly cooked meals and drinks. The breakfast staff were delightful. Actually all of the staff went above and beyond. Our room was on the 4th floor with beautiful views over the amazing garden and sea. The pool is an infinity pool looking over the beach. Pool was clean and the cocktails delish.

The location was perfect, the gateway by the pool opened directly to the beach. There were plenty of sunbeds around the pool and on the beach, and it was not necessary to get up early to reserve these. There was a kitchen for guests to use, with a water cooler machine, ice, glasses, plates and cutlery if required. There are just 7 villas and it was very peaceful, we had the pool to ourselves during our stay, it felt like our own private villa, would highly recommend and would return

Bali’s oldest beach resort retains its reputation as a glamorous alternative to nearby Kuta. The coastline of Sanur has a long stretch of white sand lined with restaurants and bars. It is tailor made for chic clientele or families wanting to relax in an exclusive resort or villa without the need to party into the wee hours.
Sanur is also a popular day trip destination for tourists staying in Kuta looking to do some water sports. There are many companies offering diving along its submerged outer reef, jet skiing on top of its blue waters or paragliding in the cool breezes above this ocean paradise.
The shoreline features a cycle path that is also perfect for walking and jogging. At its very northern tip is the ferry terminal that offers boat trips to Nusa Lembongan, a small island off the southeast coast of Bali that is famous for its laid-back atmosphere.
Sanur has its fair share of markets providing an impressive range of artistic handicrafts such as wood carvings and batik paintings. Best of these are the Sindhu Market and the daytime beachfront market.
Sanur is the closest beach to the island’s capital, Denpasar, with its many temples and museums. Booking.com has a range of hotels along Sanur Beach or close to Ngurah International Airport, also known as Denpasar International Airport.

One of the great attractions of Sanur is that it's always been a little quieter than the Kutas and Canggus etc. However the huge new shopping centre right on the beach is going to ruin that. Very disappointed that this is happening.

Sanur has relaxed vibe with a long shady boardwalk along the beach. The traffic is not crazy like elsewhere but it is not the place if you are seeking a nightlife. Plenty of eateries and without the Seminyak / Canggu chaos.

Very quiet and relaxed location compared to Legian/Kuta area with no nightclubs. Great selection of restaurants and shops. Not really for young adults wanting to party 24 hours a day, more focussed on couples and families who want to chill out.

Sanur is a fantastic area in Bali .
Sanur is a fantastic area in Bali .
It has a vibrant local community feel, but with a Nusa Dusa like beach promenade.
The area is ideal for riding push bikes , shopping , wandering around .
I am thinking I will come again, and miss staying in Seminyak.

Sanur offers the best bits of Bali without the crowds.
Sanur offers the best bits of Bali without the crowds. The beach is bathed in the morning sun and there are plenty of restaurants along the main road and down side streets and beachfront boardwalk. There are gems of places of find amongst the hotels and back roads. You can get to other places such as Ubud easily from here if you wanted a day trip.
Sanur is not a 'party' place like Canggu or Kuta and that only makes it more appealing in my opinion.
Superb location with all facilities in walking distance that you need, supermarket, massage places, souvenir shops across the road, restaurants, food night market just 2min by foot. Highly recommend to go there, it's fantastic, we loved the food market! We just stayed for 1 night, so the location really did it for us, you don't need a scooter and still have plenty of things to do around. 10/10 for the location. All rooms have a table and 2 chairs outside to sit which is a plus. Nice hotel setup, Balinese home style with pool.
The front of the hotel has had a facelift but the rooms are tired - cracked tiles and stained paving. Everything works well though and the bed is probably the most comfortable I have had in Bali - both the mattress & pillows and the fresh linens. The private pool was great but be aware that there is little shade until late in the day. Staff were all delightfully friendly and accommodating. The rooms are away from the road so are very quiet. The hotel is just a block from great restaurants on the beach.
We have been guests here 4 times with the hotel previously being run as The Fairmont.
The staff here (and in Sanur) are just so lovely and caring. We always leave feeling so happy and our only disappointment is we always wish we had spent more time here and less in the pretentios areas like Seminyak and Nusa Dua..
The Balinese are so relieved to have visitors returning so don't delay and book your trip to the Intercontinental Sanur now!
I have been coming to Bali since 1974, this is my 42 trip, fIrst time ever in Sanur and first time at a home stay. Never again will i stay in upmarket hotel, family was wonderful to me,staff so friendly felt safe,BEST EVER TRIP..Coming back next year this year i stayed a month next yr 3months cant wait. To the family and staff thank you so so much for the last month it was an exceptional experience
The location of Respati Beach Hotel is perfect. Right on the beach and in the middle of Sanur. The staff were extremely helpful and really lovely. We had a late flight leaving Bali but we were able to leave our luggage at reception, spend the day on the beach and then use a room to shower before going to the airport. What a bonus. We loved our stay at Respati. We highly recommend this hotel.
It was our first stay at prama we where very surprised when we arrived was not expecting the hotel to be Soo big and wonderful.then the driver told us it was the old Sanur hotel many years ago.it was the first time I ever came to Bali over 30 years ago I couldn't believe it is was nothing like the days it was one of the be est hotels I ever stayed in Bali. Definitely coming back .
It should be noted that i was upgraded, i had booked it as a quarantine hotel in Sanur because it was near my own villa. however between the Airport and the taxi ride to Sanur the Quarantine was lifted and i didn't have to stay at the Hyatt. the Hotel gave me an offer i couldn't refuse so i choose to stay on for 3 days in the Hyatt.
Villa is perfect, nothing to complain about. Great location, quiet yet 2 minute walk to the main road. Access to the beach requires bit of a detour or walking through one of the hotels "unofficially". If the villa was a bit less costly, we would have stayed for longer :)
I’ve stayed a few places in Sanur & I liked this one the most. this is perfect if you don’t like big hotels with too many people.
staff were very friendly & food on the beach was delicious. They are also much more eco friendly than most places!
The hotel is an a superb location, on the beach, a short walk to all the beach restaurants and bars. It’s design is beautiful keeping Balinese culture, nice green gardens and 2 nice pools. The swim up bar is picturesque and got a lot of use.
A great place for a family to stay in Sanur. The hotel is a good size, 12 rooms and 7 villas with a central pool and bar area.
staff were all very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful stay with our children and grandchildren
Staff were very pleasant and very helpful. Room was very spacious and bed very comfortable. Hotel located a short walk to the beach/restaurants/cafes on the beach. Also a short walk to main shopping strip.
Everything, especially that the room was well-maintained with great range of facilities. Price-wise it is great value for money. I always book this hotel whenever I stay in Sanur area.
swimming pool ( we didn’t use) , villa bali style, dispenser, kitchen(need to remodeling) , fridge, quiet close to Sanur port. economical price so I couldnt complain much.no bed bugs
Amazing Hotel right on the beach in Sanur but just outside earshot of the restaurants.
Huge room (#234). Awesome staff. The pool is one of the best I have swam in, in Bali.
