Peter was so helpful to us and gave us information on the Louisios gorge walks. We got a room with a balcony to look over the town. In the evening there was a blazing fire in the comfy lounge where we could sit. Breakfast was fantastic with homemade jams, honey and cakes. We also had yoghurt and eggs. The bed was really comfortable. All in all it made a great stay. It left us relaxed and happy!

A long drive from Katakolo on the west coast of the Pelopponese brought us to the mountain village of Dimitsano..
The village is a maze of cobbled side streets and Stefanos, our host, was kind enough to meet us in the centre and escort us to a parking spot. From there a stiff walk through the backstreets took us to Proselinos guesthouse.
We were shown our room which was in keeping with the location… full of charm. Stone walls on 3 sides plus a feature fireplace which together with radiators are no doubt put to use in the winter. Natural wood panelled ceilings and floors added to the feeling of warmth. Lovely period furniture, tasteful decor, a desk, wardrobe and fairly comfortable bed. The bathroom was small but fine with a spa bath and hand held shower.
No air cond or fan and no tv although there is one in the lounge/ dining/ reception area.
Breakfast was excellent and plentiful… thank you!
Nice coffee shops ( we visited the R4 all day espresso bar with a roof garden a few times)
A visit to the historic water mill close by is well worth it.
Altogether an enjoyable 2 night stay.

Stay felt like a warm and inviting home away from home. Exceptional hospitality provided by the host - not only did they make us feel welcome, but they also went above and beyond to cater to our every need and graciously answered all of our questions. Also, a delicious and varied breakfast spread, ensuring we started our trek day energized. The place exceeded our expectations in every way.

Dimitsana is a typical beautiful mountain village with very narrow, steep cobblestone streets. Very picturesque! We loved the experience.
The roads leading to it are challenging and the village streets very narrow; not for a nervous driver. Would not recommend to persons with physical mobility issues.

Dimitsana is great for a weekend visit, because it's located close to Athens with easy access. There are various things you can do, besides tasting great food. Hicking, walking in the forests, rafting are some of the activities you can try.

I feel like one doesn’t have a full picture of Greece without a visit to a hill town like Dimitsana. Lovely, lively, intriguing. Drive respectfully or not at all. Visit the monastery (you have to open the gate yourself during visiting hours), walk the hills, visit the water power museum and simply enjoy authentic Greece.

We appreciated the helpfulness of our host.
We appreciated the helpfulness of our host. He directed us to a hike that we wanted to make and helped facilitate transportation so we could be dropped off at one end and hike back to the village. We enjoyed a traditional breakfast both of the mornings we stayed at the guesthouse. The room was comfortable and we loved sitting on the balcony in the morning to enjoy the view of the village.

We stayed for 2 nights, which could have been longer, but there was so much to see in Peloponnese. We had a day to hike the gorge and visit monasteries, which shouldn't be missed. (One can actually drive close to them, but the hike was beautiful.) Some good restaurants in town, too.

A somewhat alternative destination, a beautiful village with a good selection of small shops and restaurants/cafes. Lots of options to hike in the surrounding forest and Lousios gorge as well as other outdoor activities in the neighbouring villages.
Eleni was a great host. Very welcoming and happy to share information, as well as assisting in anyway possible in regards to hiking, taxa booking etc.. Very clean rooms and comfy beds. The room had a small teakitchen with a fridge, light breakfast (courtesy of Eleni) and the most amazing view. Dimitsana is a very nice small village with all you need returning from a long day of hiking. I will happily come back.
The house has everything you need. In my case a laundry machine and a place to dry clothes. But it also has a fully stocked kitchen and even boardgames.
Location is really nice, close to the small but cozy centre of Dimitsana.
Really luxurious shower and a beautfil view from the balcony.
The beds are big and longer than normal beds, allowing Dutch giants to sleep stretched out!
We left the car at the outskirt of the village and Kristi picked us up to bring us to the location.
The day we left she drove us back to our car.
She is a absolutly friendly person and adviced the taxi driver to bting us to the entrance of the louisios gorge where we hiked back to Dimitsana. .
Takes you around 5 hourd and arounf 900 M altitude
It is located within a beautiful and serene environment. Love the fresh air and the beautiful of nature. The hotel is tastefully designed 👍👍
The owner is very professional, thank you for going the extra miles to walk out to the entrance to direct us to your hotel when we arrived late.
The breakfast was hot and homemade! Love the experience.
One of the few places with designated parking spaces this newly renovated hotel offers great spaces and a wonderful breakfast buffet. Staff was extremely hospitable and serviceable: helping us with parking and recommending where to visit in the area. The bathroom was very luxurious. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable.
Elena and everyone at Methexis were incredibly welcoming and we loved everything about our stay. The room was wonderful, clean and had an amazing view overlooking the village. The location is ideal, as it’s only a 5-minute walk from the centre of Dimitsana. The breakfast was very generous, well-made and artisanal.
We had an amazing stay. Stefanos and his wife are lovely people, the best hosts you could ever ask for. The breakfast is really one of the best we ever had in a hotel. If there is one place you’re staying in Dimitsana, it should be this one!
A gem in the heart of Dimitsana! The owners make you feel welcome and taken care of, everything is just splendid - from the room decor and comfort to the location and price/value ratio. It’s not just 10 out of 10, it’s 100 out of 10.
We loved everything about the hotel. The room was lovely with a nice little balcony. Breakfast was plentiful wirh lots of homemade pies and pastries. The owners took good care of us. We really enjoyed our stay.
A very nice hotel with great hosts, breakfast, and location. Parking is available in front, or on the street on the main road coming into town from the north. Many great shops and restaurants in the area.
We were happy with the location , and the staff, Ares and Harrah were very welcoming and helpful! It is a real Arcadian mountain town ( chilly at night. ) We had adventures touring the area.
Most comfortable night’s sleep during our entire stay in Greece. Stefanos met us at our car and carried our bags up many stairs to our room. Love what they did with the towels!
I would highly recommend this hotel !!! Our room was really cool and the view on the mountains was amazing. The location is just great and the host was really nice.
