Eco Pod 1 At Tapnell Farm, hotel in Yarmouth

Offering garden views, Eco Pod 1 At Tapnell Farm is an accommodation situated in Yarmouth, 18 km from Blackgang Chine and 23 km from Osborne House.

Compact but comfortable for our short stay, both beds were ample size, the pull out sofa bed was shared by my 11 & 8 year olds, my 11 year old is quite tall but there was still ample room, the main bed was also really comfortable. The supplies were outstanding, lots of tea, coffee, sugar and a pint of milk, the shower was surprisingly efficient considering the size of the pod. We had use of a fan and hairdryer too, my husband and children LOVED the outdoor beanbag, we'll be getting one. I was very impressed with the wheelbarrow for luggage, the car park is not right next to the accommodation and as with most trips with children there's always 101 things to carry. We didn't have chance to use the bbq or the fire pit but it was excellent that everything was supplied to be able to use both of those things.

Lovely building, quiet and secluded. Mike and Vicki very friendly and welcoming. Room was cosy, very clean, everything we needed was provided. Breakfast listed as Continental, but much more than, we were full afterwards. Nearby pub was only a short walk, was also very welcoming and great food.

Very small, historic town, very olde world, friendly people, not over burdened with gift shops, lots of pubs in a small area. Most offering good traditional cooking. Like the castle, it's small but well kept. If you like fish and chips, they are wonderful from the blue crab. Best pub, wheatshief, friendly, good beer, good food and dog friendly.

Yarmouth has a good hotel and some great restaurants.

Yarmouth has a good hotel and some great restaurants. It is a ferry port for a rail-connected ferry to the mainland of England and has a good bus service to other parts of the Isle of Wight. It is surrounded by countryside with some good walks and pleasant beaches.

We booked this last minute after being let down through another listing on Booking.com. This beautifully restored barn had everything and was extremely well equipped. Close to Yarmouth which is a lovely coastal town. Rooms were spacious and access to an outdoor jacazzi went down well with the kids. Hosts were friendly and on hand to assist with any questions or issues.

The location was excellent, quiet and with great views across countryside but only a short drive to Yarmouth for supplies and good places to eat. We also went across to Ryde and Osborne House near Cowes which was also an easy drive. The property was very well organised, modern facilities and clean so we really enjoyed our time there.

Fantastic location in a lovely historic building, but could do with a freshen up, for example the wicker chairs on the terrace are all broken, but still being used. Breakfast and dinner in the hotel were both excellent.
