The Grange is perfectly situated between Shanklin High Street and Old Shanklin - close to several restaurants and other eateries. The Grange is more like a hotel than a B&B with lovely gardens, covered swing seats and a large patio with tables and chairs to enjoy the drinks from the honesty bar. Complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits are available all day. The staff could not have been friendlier or more welcoming - especially the lovely Wendy for whom nothing was too much trouble. Breakfasts were great; ordering what we wanted from the extensive menu and which set us up for the day ahead,

Finding the cottages was a little bit hard so we called the owner who kindly give us directions. Just head for the central stores and turn left and follow through to a single track road and you will come to the sign on the right Span farm West Rew cottages.

Nearby you can find Appuldurcumbe house, it is a ruin. There is a fountain with fish in the garden. It has a good atmosphere. The accommodation was great, it has got a heated swimming pool. I would improve the mattresses and the pillows. With this, it would be excellent.
